Harvey: He 'hmpt'ed at that comment. "Glorious, you'll have more time for that homework, then, won't you?" Whooo's laughing now? Actually, he supposed it was HE who would have to sit there and actually grade it, so maybe he wasn't a winner, either... He put the last of the dished back where ever it was they belonged, and carefully cleaned his own hands. After which, he crossed his arms and leaned on the counter. He really ought to go back to his study, he still had much work to be done, but... He couldn't help to feel as if he really needed a proper distraction. "M'lady, what usually occupies your free time?" His brow furrowed. There had to be something distracting he could do to take his mind off of...whatever had just happened!

Fred: She pouted at the quip and shoved the last dish at him. She was drying her hands when Harvey asked his question, and she immediately knew the answer. The question was, would she tell him. After a few minutes of hard staring at him, she finally asked, "Can you keep a secret?"

Harvey: He took the last dish by surprise! That was it?? All of that tomfoolery for just a few dishes? He place it in its respective spot and shook his head. He would never understand that one, he supposed!
He looked back at her to see her...staring at him? It wasn't the eye...right? "Can I keep a secret? Of COURSE, m'lady!" Ah secrets! His specialty!

Fred: Satisfied that he was telling the truth, she nodded and put down her drying towel. "You'll need to change then!" she said, looking at his shirt and vest. "Do you have anything... blacker? I suppose my father might have something, let me check." Without letting him reply, she ran to the study. Clothes were flung from her father's wardrobe as she searched for the right items. Finally she found a black shirt and vest that could possibly fit Harvey. Upon return, she stuffed them into his arms. "Go change, and be quick! We must be back before mother gets home!"

Harvey: "Blacker?" Where were they going, a funeral??? Had she killed---
He left that thought hanging as she disappeared and was back in a second. He was taken back by the sudden thrust of clothing in his arms. "What is this?" Still, not really waiting for an answer, he just raised an eyebrow and slowly walked back to the study. As the started to unbutton his vest and loosened his stock, he wondered why he was so inclined to take orders! Fitting for a servant of the house, but was THIS completely necessary? He had to admit though, he really DID fancy how Mr. Loveless dressed! If there was ever a time in his own life where he could, he really would love to imitate his style, quite honestly.
He pulled his tow shirt over his head and caught a glimpse of himself in the mirror. He was still much too skinny for his tastes, but he had to admit, he did look much more alive than he had been in the past! It was kind of nice.
Now fully dressed, he looked himself over in the mirror. One more thing! He took the red ribbon that was once a gift and added it to his ensemble. It would make SOMEONE happy, he wagered! And a pop of color was always nice. (Even if he could have sworn it was more of a pink then red, but ah, to Halloween with it!)
He lightly closed the study behind him and approached Winnifred. "Now what is this all about?"

Fred: She tapped her foot as she waited impatiently for him. Upon his return, she nodded in approval and fluttered towards the front door. After a quick peek outside, she ushered Harvey down the hall and up the stairs. They passed apartment after apartment, only stopping when they reached the top. A small hatch was placed above them, and at the pull of a rope it opened. Steps unfolded, leading the way into the attic. It was a shared storage space for the tenants, though no one really used it much. Fred proceeded to climb the ladder, peeking her head out when she reached the top. "Hurry up, we haven't much time!"
When Harvey finally arrived Fred yanked the hatch closed. She then stood up, dusting away any cobwebs that'd attached themselves to her skirts. When she spotted the item they'd made their journey for, she smiled. It was a very large grandfather clock, dusty but proud. She practically skipped over to it, presenting it to the warlock with a flourish. "This is what I do in my free time!" she exclaimed. Harvey's confused face prompted her to continue, and she opened the glass door.
"You see, when I was younger I noticed that my father quite liked it up here. He was always disappearing into the attic, for hours and even days!" Putting the hour hand on ten, she went on. "Now as I grew older, I became quite curious as to what was so interesting up here. So I followed him one night! And lord and behold, I discovered..." She moved the minute hand to the thirty-one dash and stepped back. "This!" With a pop, the clock's front swung back to reveal a swirling portal. Black and orange reflected off their faces as Fred watched his reaction. Gesturing excitedly to it, she said, "Well? Hop in!"

Harvey: He followed her, quite confused as to why they were leaving her apartment? What was this?
Still, he let out a sigh and climbed the ladder. "If you wish, I suppose." He hoped this wasn't a game, he was getting much too old!! He carefully doged some cobwebs here and there. It would be terribly unprofessional to return back to work covered in them!! Harvey looked the clock over up and down. "You...look at this?" He looked around. Was this a prank, then?
When she opened the glass, he bent down to get a better look. If something popped out, he swore he'd move out tomorrow!! Still, as she went on, he raised an eyebrow. NOW he was curious!!
The pop startled him so bad he nearly fell over. "M-M'LADY." He put a hand on his chest to regain his breathing, and terrifiedly looked into the...whatever it was! He was enamored for a moment before looking back at her face. "You...you expect ME to jump in there?? Are you MAD? Do you even know where this goes??"

Fred: Placing a hand on her heart, she made a hurt face. "Harvey, your faith in me is truly disappointing. Of course I know where this goes!" She wasn't going to tell him though! She hitched up her skirts and stuck her nose in the air. "Well if you're too frightened to go, I suppose it's ladies first!" With that she hopped in, disappearing from sight and leaving the tutor all alone.
Inside the portal little bats and spiders flew by and orange and black swirled together. She cackled as she twirled and dipped, and she felt her hair come loose behind her. Finally the madness ended and she landed on some dry leaves with a "crunch!" The landing still needs some work, she thought as she picked herself up, brushing off the debris. She ran her fingers through her hair and patiently waited for Harvey to come through. She knew he would.

Harvey: He raised an eyebrow at her. "Well then, would you mind telli- I am not frightened!" He crossed his arms and gave her a Hmph! When she disappeared, he felt his arms fall back to his side and stared at the hole in terror. Scratching his head, he took a few steps closer and looked through it. He couldn't see anything!!! Where could Mr. Loveless work, then??? He had half a mind to just turn around and pretend like he never even SAW this...thing, whatever it was, but seeing as Fred was in his care and her just vanishing would probabblllyyy look pretty bad, he took a deep sigh.
He really didn't sign up for THIS!! He felt for the book in his coat jacket first, just in case, and took the plunge!! He was taken aback by the bats, and froze at the sight of ...SPIDERS? WHAT?? He literally FLIPPED and brushed the heathens from his jacket until he felt his back hit...leaves?? He sat up, quite confused, and out of breath. He was quickly up in seconds, and swatted at more spiders!! He didn't even care where he was, he just wanted them off his clothing!!!!

Fred: She rolled her eyes heavily at Harvey's antics. "Oh please, they're just little bugs! They're not even that poisonous!" She cracked a smile at his shocked face. "I jest, I jest!" she laughed, before flicking off one that had landed on her. She waited until the tutor regained his composure, then continued. "Well, now that you're done, let me welcome you to the one and only: Halloween Town!" She threw out her arms, trying to encompass the ghoulish town behind her. "Isn't it lovely?"

Harvey: Doing one more quick check to be sure all of the HEATHENS were removed from his person, he started to take note of where they were---where ever... that... was... "Halloween Town? You mean, the holiday?" He could feel his entire body tense up. It had finally hit him that they were far, far away from home. Ideally he shouldn't be TOO scared because, well, he usually messed with the paranormal quite frequently, but that didn't stop him from excessively shaking his head back and forth, "No no no nononono, no. We... we are going to just..." He looked around but didn't see any means of going out the way they came. "...Go back home..." He let his voice trail off. Not only was he stuck here, in God knows where, but he was stuck here with his own student, who possessed little training in anything magical. He was, in layman's terms, in some very, very deep box of chocolates.

Fred: "What else would I mean?" she laughed, eyeing their surroundings as well. She felt so at home here, even more so than in her own apartment. "Well, let's get going then!" She looked back at Harvey and her smile dipped into a frown. "Go... back home? W-why would we go home? I- you don't like it?" She wrapped her arms around herself and looked down at her feet. "Alright, if you don't want to stay, I'll show you the way out."
She started off towards the cemetery in the distance. She was such a dummy, of course he wouldn't like it here! He'd just swallowed a ghost for pete's sake! "Stupid, stupid," she whispered harshly at herself.

He nervously followed her, and kept from putting his hands in his pockets to taking them -out and rubbing his face. "...Not, stupid, to say but..." He didn't really know how to feel. He had a deep, DEEP fascination and will to study and learn everything about this place- Was this Halloween? Was Halloween simply this easy to get in and out of? That...that couldn't be! So then, this was...
He reached forward and grabbed her hand light, "M-M'lady, I...I don't really know...what we're to be doing here, to be honest. Are mortals just...allowed in here?" He could see Winifred being no problem due to her heritage but he... "I AM mortal, as you know!" Harvey's face then lit up- maybe that WASN'T the kind of thing one just blurts out...here...?

Fred was so caught in berating herself that she jumped at Harvey's touch. She drew her hand back and flashed her fangs, but once she saw who it was she cackled. "Goodness Harvey, don't worry so much! You managed to scare /me/, so you'll fit right in!" she laughed. "And anyhow, you know magic! You'll be fine!"
Before he could protest she snatched up his hand and started yanking him towards the awaiting town. "You will just adore the shrunken head shop, and the witch's brew stand is divine!"
