Fred: She was totally oblivious to Harvey's plight and simply thanked him when he was finished. Glancing at her bandaged arm, she replied, "Don't worry, this should heal up in a few hours." She set her hands on her hips and finally looked at the warlock's clammy face. "Are you alright, sir? Would you like some tea." Granted, most of the tea cups were dirty or broken, but she was sure she could scrounge one up.

Harvey: Before anything, he couldn't help but to wash his hands again. So much blood!! He reached for a tile to dry his hands, and was reminded of the shattered dishery that surrounded them. "Oh!" He looked back at Fred, now quite worried. At first, he was taken aback by 'in a few hours,' but then remembered her lineage. It wasn't the kind of thing he thought about oft, and quite honestly, didn't feel it was much of his place, anyway. His place in the Loveless household should be that of a humble and professional--- Oh! Fred was talking to him!
"Ah, no thank you, m'lady! I don't believe we have time for that, quite honestly." Wasn't there something...Oh! He was mad at her! Mad!!! "M'LADY! Why would you use spells without my presence??? You're quite lucky a fork-wound was all you got!! If your mother had the slightest idea that I let you get hurt---IF YOUR MOTHER SAW THIS MESS..." His hands went up to his cheeks! He'd be in just as much trouble!! So much was on the line, wasn't it!?? "Still...I wonder why the spell didn't work for you...? Where you sure the ghosts had a definite task to handle?" Just the dishes shouldn't have overwhelmed them... "Did you recite it correctly?? Slavic is awfully hard, I remember learning it myself, actually-" WAIT, no! He had to clean this up!! Still... the fastest way WOULD be with magic...

Fred: "If you're sure," she replied, glad she didn't have to dig through the mess. She made her way over to inspect the first fork that was stuck in the wall. She yanked on the utensil, leaving four holes where it once stood. She was looking around for a portrait to place over the perforated plaster when Harvey started his rant. She swiveled around and twiddled guiltily with the fork. She hadn't meant to cause such a mess, she'd just wanted to prove she could do magic! Her face turned red as Harvey tried to debunk why she didn't succeed. Failure, failure, a voice whispered. No, she wasn't a failure! She could do it! Inhaling deeply she recited,
"'S tebou teraz som tu vždy, Always be cautious with displays, Ale žiadam vašu prítomnosť predsa ! Take this old room here, and clean up the mess!'"
A pause ensued, then chaos once again. Dishes flew around, piecing themselves back together in mid air. The fork flew out of her hand and twirled around her, apparently deciding not to be homicidal again. None of the silverware dared to touch her, and the only thing that was ruffled was her hair as a saucer soared past. All in sync, the cupboards' doors slammed open and the dishes returned to their rightful place. With a snap of the closing cabinets everything was left clean. Except the dishes that Fred would still have to wash. And that were now touching the clean dishes, which she would also have to wash. One battle at a time though, her father always said!
Crossing her arms, she gave Harvey a victorious smile.

Harvey: As she started to recite the words again, his face turned from curious to just plain annoyed. Was she really going to give this ANOTHER go? After what had just happened?? He started to raise a finger and give her a good talking to, until he noticed that this time, it worked. He froze dead in place and watched all the dishes fly past, being careful to duck and dodge them. At first, he was extremely worried he would have to play doctor again (instinctively, a hand rose to his patch...), but then started to get a little proud. She did manage, after all!!!
As it settled, a smile flashed across his face. "Now that's my pupil!!!....Just don't do it again, all right? Not until we can deduce what the original issue was..." He took a deep breath and rested his chin on a fist. "In all honestly, I don't believe the first blunder to be entirely your fault, m'lady. For it to work flawless the second time shows great concern, however." His brow furrowed, "The only different between your trials does, at first, appear to be my presence, but I cannot see that shaping the outcome. If anything, I act simply as another obstacle in the way, really! ...From this, however, one can assume that the real issue lies not within this plane..." As he spoke, he slowly started to untie his eyepatch, careful not to move it from it's original place, and retied the string tighter. He didn't want to say anything, mostly in fear of being unprofessional, but he was quite knowledgeable of Fred's work habits, and was sure she strongly wanted to use the ghosts to get out of chores. He deduced from this that the ghosts themselves were most likely given clear direction...
"Excuse me for a moment, M'lady!" He lightly patted his eyepatch and was out of the kitchen, then back with her father's spell book moments later. He place it gently on the ground in front of him, and then knelt down next to it, and motioned for Fred to take a seat near him. "I say that we look into this mess, then! Who better than a Vampire and a Warlock, hm?" He gave her a warm smile, but, in all honesty, was nervous for what they might find.
Harvey wasn't exactly sure where Mr. Loveless did his work, but he was confident that he obviously had connections with paranormal things, and, if he and Fred could offer any insight or help to him, it would be unprofessional not to!!!

Fred: Satisfied now that she'd completed the spell correctly, she waved him away. "Sure, sure, but let's resolve the problem soon! I really don't wish to clean all of those dishes." She attempted to keep up with Harvey's musings. It was quite difficult, especially with the fact that she didn't understand half of what he was saying. She inspected her fingernails, only looking up when he left the room and returned again. She strolled over to where he was sitting, and although she would have very well liked to take a seat as well, her skirts would simply not allow it. Instead she leaned over to peer at the book, correcting her tutor that she was a damphir, not a vampire. She was deemed "creepy" enough already and didn't enjoy being mistaken for the next paranormal step up.

Harvey: "Damphir, right! Forgive me." He gave her a sad smile. He felt a tad rude for being able to sit and her...well, not really able...And the Dhamphir thing DID give him the creeps, but he supposed it was all the more reason to hurry and get on with it. He nervously sighed and flipped through pages of the old book, until, almost magically, the pages stopped. He stared at it blankly for a moment. He knew what he was supposed to do but...never actually had gone through with this before. As a rule he tried to only use magic when he needed to or--at least, that was what he was used to before the Loveless household but... If anyone in London could conceal magic, it was this family. And concealing magic, or...concealing himself, for that matter, was worth trying to find this issue.
He stood erect and put his arms out, almost as if he were expecting a hug. He wet his teeth with his tongue and began; "Eyes and ears for all to hear, Show me the other side, for those I hold dear."
As he spoke, a fierce wind rose up from the pages of the book, and his page was quickly lost. It made his blonde fringe hair stand up, and while he tried not to move, he could feel his eyepatch slide down just a tad. It still covered...what it needed to, but he winced anyway. After a few seconds of strong winds, he called back to Fred, "Stay still please, M'lady!" He tried to sound confident, but he actually had no idea what would happen or how this really worked!
The book's pages continued to flip forward until it landed on the same page again! At that point, the winds stopped still for just a moment. Harvey looked over to Fred, wide eyed, not sure why it didn't work. Just as he was about to speak, colorful ghosts of all shapes and sizes sprung from the pages and filled the space around them, some of them looking as if they were laughing or crying, but most of them being almost slothful and tired. They whispered lazy moans of "uuuuuggggrrrhhhhh" and "eeeEEeeeeehhhhh?" while they poked at Fred and Harvey. Harvey tried to stay still, but couldn't help to move his head when a rather large ghost decided to lick his face.

Fred: The wind didn't hit her as hard as Harvey, but she still felt pieces of hair rip loose from her pins. She tried to stay as still as a statue while watching the pages flip back and forth. The lapse of wind gave her a chance to catch her breath, and she returned the warlock's confused look.
She was about to speak when the first ghost appeared. Instead of words she let out a gasp and forgot any notion of staying still. Her head twisted this way and that as ghosts filled the room. Some of them could give her a run for her money with their eerie auras, while some she just felt bad for. A laugh escaped her when the rogue spirit licked Harvey's face, though it was quickly replaced by a shriek when one of the ghosts started pulling up the back of her skirts. She tried kicking it away, only succeeding in putting her foot in it. Fortunately it got the message and left her alone.
Nervously pressing down the rest of her dress, she inquired, "What next?"

Harvey: He looked over at Fred worriedly, but didn't even notice her skirt pulled up. Instead, he froze in place as the ghost gave him another licking, but this one was quite different! This time, he could feel his eyepatch start to slide off, and with his good eye, he watched it hit the floor and trembled. A hand immediately rose and clasped a hand over his right eye, while he fell to the floor to get it back. This sudden drop startled the ghosts around him, who started a larger commotion. As the semi-translucent fiends rushed past, he watched his patch get whirled away. Still on his knees, he cried out, angry, "That is ENOUGH of that!!!" For the most part, all of the ghosts stopped in their tracks, quietly muttering a few "Urrrggh?"s and "Oooh"s.
"Go on, get!! Leave this home! Find somewhere else to call your own!"
He breathed heavily for a moment before looking up, still sure to cover his eye.
Like clockwork, the ghosts started to whirl around again, but still time much faster, and with purpose! The book's pages started to flip, but the ghosts avoided it! Instead, they all focused their attention to Harvey, and were sucked straight down into this throat!! He sat on his knees, looking up in a kind of stupor, and coughed several times after the last ghost had found it's "new home." He leaned forward for a moment, catching his breath, not totally sure what had just happened. Still looking at the ground, he called out to Fred, wearily. "...please hand me my eyepatch...M'lady."

Fred: She was too busy smacking away another ghost to see his eye patch fall off and just gotten it to disperse when she heard Harvey shout. She jumped away from him, a bit shocked. She'd never heard him yell before! Well, he had been yelling at her a few minutes ago, but she'd never heard him be serious about it! She froze with the ghosts, listening as he recited a spell. The swirling disrupted the eye patch and she spotted it as it flew above her. She reached on her toes to grab it, brushing it with her fingertips just as the spirits flew at Harvey. Gasping, she lost her balance and toppled to the ground. She was stunned as she watched the commotion disappear down his throat. A last brush of wind told her that the chaos was over, yet she still stared at the warlock in a terrified daze. Only when he asked for his eye patch did she break out of her stupor. She twisted her head this way and that until she recognized it a few feet away. She crawled over and snatched it up before making her way to Harvey. Her eyes were wide as she held it out to him. So many questions to ask, yet the most urgent one was- "Are you alright?"

Harvey: Both of his hands rested over eyes, not that was weeping, but rather her just didn't feel like seeing anything. He stayed like that for a moment before he heard Fred's garmets shuffle in front of him. He slowly pulled his hands down his face, stretching it downwards, tiredly. The whole endeavor really was his own fault, he knew that the spell accompanied several risks, but... now he was even more puzzled. While he should have been taken aback by the ghosts' new...living arrangement, (he couldn't help but to shudder) the spell was meant to SHOW the other plane, not transport anything between them. Something had to be extremely wrong then! Something in the other plane was veryyyy amiss, and the dwellers there were far more than eager to relocate, from the sound of it. Harvey had a haunting idea that perhaps this other plane was were Mr. Loveless was away at business but... he wouldn't dwell on that any longer.
He looked up at Fred, face sad and arms limp in his lap before reaching up to take the eyepatch. He felt...very unprofessional, letting her see his right eye as is...it really wasn't easy to be looked at.
Luckily his eyelid was closed, for when it was opened, it was eerily dark.. While awake it wasn't too much of a chore to keep it closed, especially with the eyepatch on top of it, but when he slept he found that his eye would usually open again. The eyelid itself was sunken, mostly due to the lack of eyeball behind it, and his lower lid was a deep shade of purple. Ever sense he lost it...what, nearly ten years ago? The purple never really did seem to fade. He was terribly self conscious of this, however! It was one thing to be at a disadvantage, particularly because of his lack of depth perception, for one, but ever sense he lost it, he had felt as if a piece of himself left him, as well. Figuratively and literally, of course. He covered his eye and retied the patch, careful that it was tight this time, and gave Fred a warm smile.
"Winnifred, you don't have to look at me like that. It's quite fine, there hasn't been anything there in a long while! It's how we first met, don't you remember?"

Fred: She didn't know whether to look away or keep looking at Harvey's face, so she alternated between both. She unknowingly grimaced at his lack of eye. It was just made him seem so... so sad and tired. And she felt partly responsible for his current worries. If she'd just put the dishes away- she broke off from her internal scolding at the sound of Harvey's voice. Looking sheepishly down at her feet, she nodded. It wasn't too long ago, really just a month or two. It felt like he'd been here longer though, like he was an old friend of the family. She realized how sad she probably looked at the moment and attempted a smile. "Well, now that the fun's over, I should be getting back to the dishes, don't you think?" She brushed her skirts off before adding, "And you should be getting some rest! I doubt a flurry of ghosts is good for your health!"

Harvey: He started to sarcastically say "I don't know it THAT was f-" But stopped himself. He really didn't want to be a downer, especially after all of that. "Rest does sound nice, but... Perhaps I could lend a hand with dishes?" He looked over to the sink. That and maybe she wouldn't want to try for extra 'help' this time!! He dusted himself off, "I don't really mind, m'lady! I do work for you and your family, after all."

Fred: She perked up at the prospect of getting help. She wasn't going to turn down any aid that would speed up her cleaning! "You certainly could help me, sir!" Strolling over to the sink, she picked up a dry towel and threw it at him. "I'll wash, you dry!" The dishes clinked as she began scrubbing a plate. "By the way, thank you for helping me. I'm sorry it led to your- er- unfortunate situation." She shuddered again, remembering the ghosts.

Harvey: He hardly caught the towel! Why did Winnifred have such a strong arm...?? Even just a TOWEL, at that!! He strolled over to the sink and peered over her shoulder as he took a place a few steps away. "Do not give it much thought, M'lady!" That was both a uplifting statement and sort of an ask! He took the plate from her and started to dry it, careful to do a top job. Then again though, Harvey was never too great at housework, and the state of this study room only proved that... He raised his shoulders and stared at his reflection in the dishery. "Do you have any affairs this night, M'lady? I take it we are finished with today's studies, really!"

Fred: She passed him another dish, glancing over for a second. "Other than making the porcelain shine? I would have to say no." Events away from the apartment were few and far between. A grin spread across her face as Harvey announced the end of their lessons. "I suppose my little faux pas wasn't such a bad thing. It got me out of algebra!" Another clean plate was passed over, and Fred picked up one of the last dishes.
