Annice: She had picked up a white, soft teddy bear and was looking down at the 'skins' when she noticed a wall of clothes that were bear-sized and got exceedingly distracted, 'ooh'ing and 'awww'ing at everything remotely cute. There were even little bear shoes!! She turned back to look at the premade teddy bears and found a pink one dressed in light blue with a bow on one of its ears that was positively adorable. She flitted around the place, gravitating toward anything pink or cute, especially both, before returning to the center for building a customized bear. She giggled at a dark brown one themed like a gingerbread man before holding it up in Sinsir's direction and looking at the bear and back at him. She was too far away for him to probably see what she was doing, and she used it to her advantage. Oh, how she wished she had Christmas currency on her! She held the soft, deflated bear to her cheek, wondering how it was possible for something to be so soft.

Sinsir: He placed the bear back on the shelf, enjoying watching her flutter over everything. She took such joy in the smallest of things. Apparently the smaller the better, actually. He saw what she was holding up and grinned. A gingerbear. He glanced over and saw a yellow bear wearing a pink dress, with a bonnet and shepherd's crook. He took it off the shelf and carried it over to her. He held it next to the skin she had.
"Do you think they go well together?" he asked, comparing them.

Annice: She giggled when he brought the other bear over and light-heartedly made them hug. "I think they could be the best of friends!" she said cheerfully. "What do you think?" She looked over at him, smiling widely as she used her free hand to tuck a stray lock of hair behind her ear.
((I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW THAT UNTIL I EDITED IT, THE FIRST THING I TYPED HERE WAS 'ALICE.' AND SO IT BEGINS.))

Sinsir: He couldn't help but smile. "I agree. I believe they could be the absolute best friends." He looked down at the bears for a moment longer before asking, "Do you want either of them?" Never had a Christmas present... from his calculations, that meant she was owed twenty six.

Annice: Thus far blind to what he intended to do, she didn't know any better than to say, "The gingerbread bear is cute!" and hold it up to her cheek again. "But, I only have Easter currency on me, I'm afraid, and not even much of that!" She made a move to put it back with a light-hearted sigh.

Sinsir: "Alright," he said, trying to hide a grin at her choice. He gently took the skin from her hands and turned to the little, old lady who ran the shop. "This one, please!" he said, handing the skin to her as she walked over. She sat down next to her giant, clear tumbler, where stuffing was spinning around into a white, fluffy snowstorm. She carefully threaded the hole in the back of the bear onto the nozzle.
"You just tell me when, sweetie." she said to Annice in a trembling voice and began peddling the stuffing in.

Annice: "Oh! You don't have to--" she began to say, but her half-statement fell on deaf ears. She couldn't help but smile at the gift, as embarrassed as she might be that he had so quickly decided to buy it for her.
Annice watched in amazement as she filled the skin with what looked like very soft stuffing. Tell her when? Oh, she meant, like if it was full enough. She nodded and watched her hands carefully, as if saying exactly when was crucial to the construction of the bear. And for all she knew, it might have been. She watched for a bit longer, enthralled, before saying, "Okay! That looks good," she said uncertainly. The woman smiled and handed her the bear.
"Give him a hug and see if he's full enough," she said kindly. She was clearly used to adult customers.
Annice hugged the bear gently and her eyes grew wide. "He's so soft!!" she said brightly. Somehow he managed to be even softer with stuffing in him. She handed the bear back. "Yes, this is perfect!"
The woman smiled and pointed to a basket of tiny hearts on the ground near the machine. "Why don't we give him a heart?"
Annice beamed. Of course! That was a perfect idea! She selected a bright red heart before flipping it over to see it read, 'Friendship.' She showed Sinsir with a wide smile before handing it to the woman, who put a hand up.
"First, make a wish." Annice thought hard. Having decided on one, she glanced at Sinsir before nodding. "Got it." The woman nodded and said, "Now give it a kiss!" Without any hesitance, Annice pecked it and placed it in the woman's outstretched hand. She made quick work of tucking the heart into the bear and sewing up the back so that you could hardly tell it had ever been open in the first place. She handed it to Annice gently, who hugged it immediately.
"Thank you, Mr. S-- Dyn!" she said cheerfully before admiring the bear's mouth that was sewn to look like licorice and his nose that had a button in the shape of a licorice swirl. His eyes were much like Sinsir's. "He's perfect," she said lovingly, looking at the bear as if it were a child.

Sinsir: He watched with a fond smile as she went through the ritual of buying a stuffed bear. He had gone through it himself, although admittedly he had been hesitant about kissing the heart, not understanding at the time. He had watched Melys go through it, holding her little heart so tightly with her eyes squeezed shut. To this day he didn't know what she had wished for.
He walked over to the counter where the woman rang it up. He discreetly handed her a golden bell and a small handful of silver ones.
"Are you sure you don't want an outfit for him?" she asked. Sinsir glanced over to where Annice was still awwing over the bear and shook his head.
"I wouldn't want to cover up his buttons."
"Alright then, have a good day!" the woman said, waving at them kindly.
Sinsir held the door open for Annice as they left, continuing their walk. He waited to see if any other stores caught her eye, wanting to know what else interested her. The best of friends, hopefully.

Annice: "Thank you so much for the bear! You really didn't have to, but I'm glad you did!!" she said, still holding him close. She looked around at all the shops, eyes still as wide as dinner plates.
Where did she want to go next? It was a hard decision until she saw a shop called 'Kandi Candy.' The prospect of a Christmas Town candy store was tempting enough in itself, but she also recognized the name!
"I thought you said Mr. Kandi had a factory?" she said, genuinely thinking she misunderstood. "And I thought he made drinks, not candy!" She turned toward the shop, admiring the brightly colored suckers and taffy in the window display. Through the window, she could see an older-looking man with a scruffy mustache at the front counter, bringing out what looked like a fresh batch of some sort of chocolate. "Is Kandi a popular name?" she asked absent-mindedly, watching the man place the chocolates carefully behind the glass with tongs. She edged toward the door.

Sinsir: He quickly realized what had happened and stepped in front of her, opening the door for her.
"Yes, our Mr. Kandi has a hot chocolate factory. I believe this shop is owned by his relatives." Sinsir had been there many times before, but not often enough to be considered a regular. The Kandis absolutely had some of the best candy in town, but he alway preferred bakeries. Melys, on the other hand, came here every time she had pocket change.
Inside, the smells of chocolate and caramel and sugar assaulted the air. It was much stronger than his fathers shop, which was more infused than packed. It was still a smell he enjoyed, however. He walked slowly over to a section of bagged gumdrops, trying to let Annice explore on her own. He had to stifle a chuckle at her expression. He had always thought the other holidays were different, certainly, but surely they were similar in scope and magnificence. Now he was wondering if that was true. But he was a bit too distracted to wonder about it, considering he had to be focused on making certain Annice enjoyed herself as much as possible. No one should walk away from Christmas town unsatisfied.

Annice: She weaved through the rows of candy, sometimes opening a canister and smelling the contests. The elf at the counter came back from where he'd been and watched her for a moment, a mixture of disapproval and acceptance on his face.
"Welcome," he said gruffly before turning back to wipe off the glass counter.
Annice grinned at him. "Hello! It smells lovely in here!"
"Mm," he grunted. He didn't say anything else, and Annice didn't take it personally, instead electing to admire a canister of brightly colored chocolate candies. She looked around to find a canister of licorice swirls and giggled a bit before moving on to admire a wall of suckers. Of course they had candy in Easter Village, but that was mostly saved for the children. Not to say the adults never had candy, just to say the children always, without fail, came first, and, apart from that, there actually weren't many candy shops. There were a select few who made most of the candy and that was about it. Easter Village was just a very small place was the problem!
She looked back at Sinsir who had been watching her out of the corner of his eye. She smiled at him before turning back to admire a glass jar of candy canes of all different colors and flavors.

Sinsir: He finished considering a package of peanut brittle and walked over to where she was staring at the candy canes. They always reminded him of Cain, and also made him wonder if Cain ever wore alternate-flavor themed clothing. He had certainly never seen him in any.
"Do you see anything you like?" He asked, picking up a package of round, hot cinnamon candies.

Annice: Though suspicious of his intentions now, she nodded. "There's a lot of candy in here that I've never even seen before! And I had no idea that candy canes came in any colors other than white and red!" She only knew that because of a certain Christmas teacher, anyway.
"What do you like best?" she asked.

Sinsir: "It's difficult to pick. There are several that I am quite find of. But I suppose that if I had to make a choice, I'd pick the turtles. Or perhaps peppermints."
She seemed unwilling to be specific about what she wanted. He wouldn't have minded if she hadnt wanted anything at all, but it was clear that she did want something. Or a lot of things. Either way she didn't seem to want to say what it was.

Annice: "I can't say I've had either," she admitted before flitting over to the gumdrops and peanut brittle he'd been looking at earlier. "As for your question, I mostly just like candy in general! I have a bit of a sweet tooth, I'm afraid." She smiled while investigating a pink and blue striped lollipop.
"..And I'm suspicious of what you'll do with the information I give you," she said with a grin. "Buuut, you did ask so nicely..." She put the lollipop back. "The turtles and peppermints both sound delicious, as well as these gumdrops, and that cotton candy-flavored lollipop, and by the way you investigated the peanut brittle, something tells me we could share some of that! But like I said, I just like candy in general!!" She was so glad that everything was labeled or she would have been so lost. Annice figured he could choose one or two from the list she gave him if he was going to purchase anything. She was sure she could pay him back somehow later.
