Sinsir: He skated along slowly, backwards again. He did his best to keep pace with her. He picked up an ornament from the stand, a crystal snowflake of intricate design, holding it up so it reflected a kaleidoscope of colored light from the strings of lights hung all around the rink.
"See anything that catches your fancy?" he asked. They now were parked in front of the snowglobe shop. He was on the side that conjoined with the ornament stand, and on the other were small stuffed animals, all decked out in skating gear. He was being casual about it, but keeping track in his head. Perhaps he could knock the fourth present out, leaving only 23.

Annice, having never had to worry before about people buying her things, didn't think about what it might mean if she admitted she liked something. She would learn soon, but for now she was thinking about going to a shop with her family when they would make conversation about liking things but leave without purchasing them due to their lack of currency.
Her wide eyes were fixed on a small snow globe with ice skating elves dancing in the middle of a skating rink, hands clasped and spinning in a circle. It looked to her like nothing she'd ever seen before, and the fact that the figure was spinning with the flurries floating around them was fascinating to her. Most of the other snow globes were similar, but two cute little elves...!
She pointed to it, smile broadening as she looked over at Sinsir. "Isn't this one adorable?" she asked innocently before directing her gaze back to it. "It's just lovely."

Sinsir: He smiled, glad that he had found something.
"It is." He agreed, "Very." He nodded to the shopelf and they took it from Annice with a polite apology and rang it through. He handed them the appropriate amount of bells as they wrapped it in several layers of tissue paper and tucked it into a bag decorated with colored snowflakes.
He took te bag and handed it to her.
"There you are, Miss Annice." He said. He looked around the rink. "Would you like to stay longer, or would you rather go home now?"

Annice gasped as she realized what had happened. How kind and thoughtful!! She would have hopped up and down a couple times if she hadn't been on ice skates. She turned to thank him when he asked if she wanted to leave.
"Oh! Um," she but her lip and focused her gaze on the bag containing her snow globe. In truth, she really didn't want to leave, but she was feeling herself wilting a bit, and she should let him get back to his work... And she needed to do hers. She sighed and secured a piece of hair behind her ear. "As much as I would love to stay, and you've been so kind and thoughtful and sweet...." She sighed. "I suppose we have work to do." Annice looked up at him with a smile. "Thank you, really, for everything!"

Sinsir: "It's no problem, honestly!" He said jovially. "Here," he offered her his hand and helped her skate back to te entrance. They undid their boots, turning them back into the rental elf. He led her back to their carriage and instructed the driver to take them to the Door Hill.
The carriage lurched as they took off, the horses' silver bells jingling merrily. Sinsir made certain Annice had enough blanket, an that all of her merchandise was stowed safely before leaving back himself, enjoying the scenery.

Annice looked over at the cookie man for a few short moments before leaning back and enjoying the scenery as well. She decided she should do something very nice for him as partial payment for being so kind to her..!
As they pulled up near the doors and Sinsir helped her out of the carriage, she decided what to do: She'd try her hand at making his favorite cookie. With this determination rising in her, they said their goodbyes and took their separate ways, both thoroughly pleased with having made a friend.
