"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU'VE NEVER BEEN TO CHRISTMAS TOWN?" Cain half-yelled, half-asked. Annice, startled, took a step back, a look of terror on her face. Cain cleared his throat. "Er, that is, it's really a wonderful town!! Normally when people tell me that I drop everything and ta-- hey!" He looked around for the source of the sharp punt on the side of his forehead to see a paper airplane on the floor. His brow furrowed and Annice looked around in shock. She hadn't even seen any students in this hallway!
Seeing writing on the small plane, he unfolded it to get a better look. Hooligans. He swore to Santa that if there were MORE shenanigans in the University he would quit. Maybe not quit but maybe not visit as often or something.
In loopy handwriting that had hearts on the i's that looked familiar, the letter read: "No!! Have Mr. Dyn do it!!" Underneath, in the same red ink, was a bit more scrawled handwriting that he'd never seen before that said, "Trust me."
He looked both ways. Valentine's students were behind this, he just knew it. But what were they doing on the Christmas floor? He shook his head and pocketed the note. "On second thought, Miss WeiBe, I actually do have a lot of work to attend to! Have you asked Mr. Sinsir?" Annice shook her head. She wasn't even asking Cain! Just making conversation!
"You should!" he said brightly. "He's probably in his office right now, actually. You should go ask him if he'd fancy a trip to Christmas town!"
"B-but--"
"I won't take no for an answer! I must be going, but have fun on your trip!" And with that, Cain was down the hall, rounding the stairs to get to the Thanksgiving wing. Annice stood in the hallway, blinking at where he had last been. What had just happened?
She bit her lip and looked around the hallway. It was tempting to get out for a while. Classes had just started and she was already feeling the stress. She sighed before turning around and heading down the hallway toward Sinsir's office. When she arrived, she knocked on the door quietly and fiddled her bunny-ear hairbow for a moment. There was just a moment's delay, though, so she used it to smooth her dress down a bit- she was still fiddling with it when the door opened.

Sinsir: He sighed, kneading his forehead gently with his fingers. It didn't actually relieve stress for him, but it was a habit he had picked up from his father. He had forgotten quite how much paperwork there was with classes that were actually graded. And had assignments. Startled, he heard a knock on the door. Had Cain forgotten something? He stood, straightened his tie, and went to the door. Opening it, he was surprised to see Miss WeiBe, her eyes downcast and fussing with her dress. He cleared his throat to get her attention politely, then asked,
"Why hello, how may I help you?"

Annice: She, somewhat startled, looked up at him quickly, cheeks a telltale pink. "Oh! Yes, um, hello!" She bit her lip and avoided eye contact with his kiss eyes. "W-well, I was wondering how you were faring with your classes, I suppose? And if you were maybe interested in getting out of the school for a bit?" As she spoke her voice got quieter, ending on 'a bit' with a whisper. Why was this even difficult? "Um, Mr. Kandi mentioned that, since I've never been to Christmas Town... that it might be fun to go?"
What was she doing. Why was this happening. Had she been brainwashed by a candy cane man to ask a cookie man to take her to their hometown??? She had been. She really had been and now she was nervous for some unfathomable reason.

Sinsir: "Oh!" he knew full well Cain's determination to take every single living (and undead) being to Christmas town. But he didn't understand why Cain had sent her to him, usually he liked to be the tour guide. "Well, I have been doing paperwork for..." he checked the clock on the wall, "four hours. Perhaps a break would be alright." He stepped fully outside his office, sure to give her plenty of room, and closed the door behind him. "Do you mind walking? I don't have shortcuts like Mr. Kandi."

Annice: She clapped her hands together and held them up to her face, barely restraining herself from bouncing up and down. "I don't mind at all!" she said brightly. "I'm just happy to be going to Christmas Town! Thank you so much!!" She had to repay him somehow!
Had he really been doing paperwork for four hours??? That was, frankly, incredible. If she did that she might wilt- and that was much more literal than it was for most people. Natural sunlight was only available in limited amounts in a building.

Sinsir: He walked her to the front of the school, being certain to open every doorway for her along the way. As they set off into the woods, he considered offering her his arm, but decided it wasn't something he should do at their stage of friendship. Besides, she seemed very graceful, she probably didn't need his help. He smoothed his hair as they walked, warily eyes some birds that were eyeing him right back. Fortunately none of them made a move, and the two made it to the doors safely. He approached the one with a brightly decorated Christmas tree on it and turned the ornament knob, swinging it open and bowing slightly for her as snowflakes swirled into the air.
"Ladies first."

Annice: She giggled lightly and curtseyed (almost as a joke) before peering into the hollow tree. She took the tiny present steps one at a time, stretching out the moment before she took a deep breath and took a step in.
She fell down through a myriad of snowflakes before landing in a HUGE, soft pile of snow. She only even knew the name from hearing about it at the University! She stared in wonder around at all the lights and snowflakes before half-skating, half just... falling down the hill of snow before she realized that it was very, very cold and she was not in the slightest dressed for this weather. She shivered, but still grinned at the sight. "I-i-t's so b-b-beautiful h-here!" she said, TRYING not to make it obvious that her teeth were chattering and failing miserably.

Sinsir: He followed down after her, landing on his feet, used to the fall after many visits. Seeing Annice tumble down the hill, he ran after her, eyes wide in worry that she may be hurt. He found her sitting at the bottom, smiling widely but shivering violently.
"Oh dear!" he said. He hadn't thought about her dress! He would offer her his jacket, but it wouldn't do her any good. He didn't have any money on him. He could take her to his father's house, get some of his money, and then... Staring into the town square, he got a much better idea.
"Come with me!" he said, taking her hand to help her up. He set off at a jog towards the center of town, guiding her along by the hand, leading her to the giant Christmas tree in the middle of the square.

Annice: Her eyes were wide as she tried to take in her surroundings as she ran through the town. She nearly had to sprint to keep up with him, but she knew that he was only jogging, so she couldn't help but laugh. Something about that was so funny to her!
She looked down at their hands, a blush filling her cheeks that something told her wasn't from the brisk air. He was pretty rough, like most cookies, but smoother than she would have guessed by looking at him. And he was actually quite warm! Like he had just come out of an oven! Now that they were in his element, he accented the background in a very nice way. No one would call him a cannibal here! She hoped! She shook her head thinking about the teachers, still convinced that it didn't make sense for him to eat anything other than baked goods.
"Mr. Dyn, where are we going?" she said through giggles. She was still terribly cold, but with his hand and their movement it was better.

Sinsir: He looked back at her, feeling bad for not explaining. "We're going to the tree!" he said, indicating the huge, heavily decorated pine that towered over the square. Once they were in the square proper, he slowed to a walk, guiding her between caroling groups, children on sleds, and elves riding large mechanical toys. He wound them a path through to the base of the tree. Pine scent washed over him. Miles of tinsel lay draped over the boughs, and ornaments of all colors glittered at the ends, some small as a normal tree's, some larger than his head.
At their feet lay a vast pile of shining presents. Wrapping paper of all textures, colors, and patterns lay all around the base, some with bows, some with ribbons, a few in bags, and one in a basket. He began sifting through the presents as quickly as he could, forgetting to explain himself again with his preoccupation to save time.
"It has to be here, I guarantee there's one here..." Eventually he let out an exclamation of surprise and extracted a long, rectangular present wrapped in pastel pink and green. A tag in the shape of an egg was attached to it that read, "Annice WeiBe" "Here!" he said, proffering it to her. "I believe this is yours."

Annice: She blinked in surprise but took the gift. "For me? But.. how could they have...?" She looked up at the glittering tree and the star on top. It seemed to be emitting a kind of warmth and she smiled as she looked down at the gift.
"This is my first Christmas present...!" She thought aloud. "In fact, I'm not sure I've ever had a present wrapped like this! We mostly use bags and baskets in Easter Village for birthdays..." She investigated the package before finding a spot to stick her thumb into. She knew how to open it in theory, but it seemed like a shame to destroy such pretty wrapping. She bit her lip and took the wrapping paper off as carefully as she could. She wasn't quite done, but she turned to Sinsir. "Do you have one too?" It didn't seem quite fair that she got to unwrap a present and he didn't get to!!

Sinsir: "You... you've never had a Christmas present?" he asked, taken aback. What a sad thing! He vowed to get her something special for Christmas, and also to wrap every present he gave her as well as he could. How could someone not get Christmas presents? At her question he broke his train of thought, smiling. She was thinking about him when she was the one who had never gotten a Christmas present before!
"I probably do, but now's not the time for me to open it. Go ahead, I have a feeling I know what's inside."

Annice: She blinked at him but looked back down at the present. Not the time...? Wait a minute...
After folding up the wrapping paper carefully, she opened the box (she had to fiddle with the tape for a moment) to find a beautiful, long jacket that felt soft and warm ((like it had just come out of a dryer but this is an Easter mind let's be real)). She held it up in front of her, the box and folded wrapping paper dropping to the ground. It was covered in shiny, but understated designs of snowflakes (she was sure that not one of them was alike!) and flowers and was trimmed in white fluff. It had deep pockets and the back had a large bow. There was even a collar that one could pop and it would cover their face from the cold. While it was almost entirely Christmas themed, it was the exact shade of pink she loved and matched the other pink accents she was wearing.
She realized she had a huge grin on her face when she started putting it on, having some trouble with the sleeves at first. She was warmed instantly. "This is... it's magical, to be a little trite!" She leaned down to find the box had disappeared but the wrapping paper, still neatly folded was at her feet. She picked it up and admired it for a moment before pocketing it. "It must be incredible to live here...!" she decided, looking up at Sinsir for confirmation.

Sinsir: He smiled down at her. The coat looked very good on her, it made her even cuter than she normally was.
"Well, there is a reason we like showing it off," he said, unable to deny how amazing his town was. "Where would you like to go now?" he asked. "There are lots of places that are fun to visit. There's the ice rink, the shopping district, Cain's factory... We could go to my father's shop. Do any of those sound good?"

Annice: All of those sounded really fun! But last time she went to his house, she'd bumped into his adorable sugar cookie little sister and was eager to go back there again.
"If it's not too much trouble," she started hesitantly, "I'd like to see Melys again..." She smiled, looking away from him and fiddled with the sleeves on her jacket a bit.
