Franz: "Haha, should we be scared?" Alright, they EVENTUALLY had to take these guys to Easter Village! Being host looked like fun, plus it would be pretty interesting to see Geoffrey flirt with girls THERE! He swirled his drink a few times and continued to sip it as he listened to Raphael. Afterwords, his eyebrows raised and he subconsciously used his left hand to cover his right.
Hans: "Geeeeoooffrey!" He gave his friend a playful punch. "I'm sure you'd be a good worker if you tried!!" He laughed and took a swig of whatever they where drinking! He...kinda forgot to pay attention!! It was good though! Best alcohol for breakfast HE had ever had! His eyes widened at Raphael and he leaned over to him, "WHAT you can see who my soulmate is??? Like, now?" He held up his hand to him, "IS IT the beautiful waitress!? Or another lady here?? O-oh maybe Ms. Annice??" He laughed, "Okay okay but for real, you can really see?? I LOVE that! But... hear me out! What aboutttttt...." Hans started to name off girls he had ANY SORT of contact with ever before Franz cut him off, "-What happens if you never find your string, then? Like...surely not EVERYONE finds that person, right? Or what if...you meet that person and you don't like them at all? Then what happens??" It was so odd to him something this important existed and he never ONCE heard about it in his town. What else where they missing??

Geoffrey: He remained silent, nervous about his upcoming plans to do just that-- work.

Raphael: He ft slightly overwhelmed by the barrage of questions. He was used to it, of course, even valentines residents got curious when they found out he could actually see it. But he wasn't used to them being quite so... Enthusiastic. Except for young girls. He decided to keep that to himself. He found an easy place to start pretty quickly, at least.
"No." He said firmly to Hans at his question about their "waitress". "And I can't just magically see. You'd have to be in the same room. Or at least where I can see both of you clearly. I could follow it for you, but I won't. I have formed a habit about not telling people who their strings are, unless I think the situation is right. It's part of what you said," he turned his eyes to Franz. "I will admit, I've seen enough people meet their string to believe that everyone will at some point in their life, barring severe tragedy. But by no means does everyone wind up with their red string. It does not in any way mean that they will not be happy. I will admit. You will love whoever your string is. Not once, in 20 years, have I seen or even heard of a single person that didn't love their string. Now some of the couples are a little rocky. But they seem to like the fighting. I don't understand them, but fate does. But again, they are not the only people you can be happy with. Sometimes two strings will meet when one or both of them are in a relationship. They never know, although they may remember the person forever. I do think its the best thing to search out your string. But it is not the end all be all. And that's why I don't normally tell people their strings," he ended his speeh with an interestingly pointed look at Geoffrey, raising his eyebrows.

Hans: His face deflated. "Awwwwe. That's a bummer! Oh well!!!" He laughed and took another drink. "Let's get a new waitress then!!"
Franz thought for a moment and put his drink down. "That's a pretty good point, but what if your string is from another town? Does...does that happen?" Holy fuck, if the holidays didn't start to intertwine until a few years ago, and it was common for your lover to be from a different town, then a lot of people lived their whole entire lives without a soul mate? He looked down at their table for a moment. "I feel you though, dude. It's not really a gift when there's so many odds and ends to it, huh?" Hans nervously flashed his eyes and Franz, and then looked back at Raphael, "WAAAIT, do you ever follow your OWN string??? If you know right away when you meet a girl...or dude, I won't judge!...BUT you'd know right away if they are your soul mate, right? So then you'd...never date anyone unless you know?" He almost dropped his drink on the table, "MEIN GOTT man, have you... never been on a DATE? AND YOU LIVE HERE? WITH PRETTY GIRLS? LORD, EVEN FRANZIE HAS-" "WHAT HEY WILL YOU QUIET DOWN?" "....Even WE have been on dates, man!"

Raphael: He nearly choked when Hans declared they needed a new waitress. At Franz's points he frowned, swirling his mimosa around. This was a phenomena he had noticed, and it puzzled him.
"They definitely can be from other towns. I've noticed several people who have that, especially at the University and Academy. But the thing is... Valentines are good at romance. Enough strings pair here that I have noticed... Almost everyone in this town is stringed together. No, I should rephrase. Almost all of the adults here are stringed together. But people my age... Their strings go all over. They're stretched. People out age - the first people to grow up with the holidays interconnected. I think... I think fate knows. It pairs you with the person who would make you happiest - someone you have never met cant make you that happy. I think you will meet them, at least once, no matter what. "
And then Hans started talking again.
"When I was younger I wanted nothing but to follow my string, but my dad made me wait until I was 18, and I'm glad he did. Now I'm much more willing to let it happen normally." As Hans barreled onwards, however, Raphael actually found himself blushing, even though he rarely got embarrassed. "No. I've never been on a date. I don't really feel the need." Even wording it that way felt awkward!

Franz: He pushed his hair back and and gestured with his free hand, "Oooohkay man, I'm stopping you right there! Look, okay, Easter dates are completely different from normal dates. How many times have I told you?? For example here, weaving a basket with a girl? Not a date. Sharing a cigarette once? NOT a date." Hans scroffed, "Ohhhh, but when you bring a girl with us to light the Osterrad, THAT'S totally a date, Iiii seee!" "Whoooa no no, that was... Okay, It was not what you think!" He made sure to point that out to the other two men there, he knew Hans was just messing with him- "My point is here, that no one has the right to judge that you've never actually been on a date, dude. We're all cool here." He gave Hans a quick side-glance and took another drink.
"YEAH okay BUT all I'm saying is, that's like, US not basket weaving, okay?? IT'S PART OF YOUR TOWN, FREUNDE." Franz rubbed his temples. He didn't ask for this!! "Yeah but Hans, why would you weave a BASKET if you have nothing to PUT into it?" He vaguely gestured to Raphael again, "I think his point is PERFECTLY sound here." Hans rubbed the back of his neck and offered this to Raphael, "Ja, alles is gut ABER what happens when you meet your person and have no idea how to take THEM on a date?? Like, that's why people date, amirite? So that when they find THAT PERSON they know how to handle themselves???" Franz put down his drink, wiped his mouth, and laughed, pretty loudly, "I think YOU need more dates then, freunde!" Hans pretended to be hurt and dramatically put a hand to his chest, "Franzieeee! How DARE youuuuu?!"

Geoffrey: Sensing that Raphael was a bit uncomfortable, he attempted to sway the conversation toward another area now that he saw their waitress had (finally!) come out from behind the door leading to the kitchen. She was currently chatting up a man who was clearly a customer, but she would (probably? hopefully?) be over soon.
"Do you messieurs know what you'd like? Or have you even glanced at your menus?" He laughed light-heartedly as he closed his, knowing what he wanted already. "The French Toast is quite good, but really, everything here is trés magnifique!"

Raphael: Grateful to his invaluable companion, he busied himself with his menu. Deciding quickly, he looked for their waitress. Spotting her close by he called out, "Scuzi!" In a pleasant voice. She turned, clearly surprised. From her reaction she had probably forgotten they were even there.
"Yes? How can I help you?" She asked.
"I believe we are all ready to order. I think we need a refill of mimosa mix, and I would like the lobster eggs benedict, and for the side I would like French toast." He said, handing his menu over. "Do you all know?" He asked the others.

Hans: He blinked for a moment. "I'll have what HE ordered! I'm not picky!!" He laughed looked over to Raphael. "But who is Benedict??"
Franz: "Yeaaah, uh, I'll have what this guy gets!" He pointed to Geoffrey. Had he looked at the menu? Kinda. Did he understand it? Not at all!

Geoffrey ordered a brie and andouille omelette with a side of french toast, simply because it was irresistable. The waitress nodded and left, leaving them to fill up on their mimosas, which Geoffrey was happy to do.
"Now, mon amis, I'm sure you're wondering why I've gathered you all here today," he said, fingers steepling in front of him, elbows on the table. "Other than brunch, bien sûr." He paused for an inordinate amount of time before continuing.
"A fraternity needs a house, non? And I think I have one we can use." He looked very proud of himself as he leaned back in his chair and examined his spotless, manicured nails.

Raphael: He sipped his drink and leaned back.
"Oh really?" He asked with a smile, "An entire house? What a generous and clever founder. How ever will you accomplish this, monsieur Beaumont~?" He asked, putting enough emphasis on Geoffrey's last name to show that he had a pretty good idea what he was going to do.

Hans: He nodded in anticipation!! Why were they here?? WHY WAS ANYONE HERE? He leaned in wide-eyed as if Geoffrey was going to expound on the secret of existence, or something! Hans burst and almost spilled his drink all over the table! "WHOA A HOUSE??" He sunk a bit and excitedly whispered, "THAT IS AMAZING because I thought we were going to have to all be homeless, like you!!! Which sounds fun too!!" He laughed. "Oh, is it nice??? Do we each get our own bed?? BUNKBEDS? CAN I BE ON TO-"
Franz: He raised an eyebrow. "-Wait, a whole house?" He crossed his arms and mulled it over. "Yeah, hey man, you were just homeless, weren't you?? And there's not really a house on campus right now, right? And it's not like there's any land large enough to like, build a house, and on top of that we really don't have any funds or- at least, I know Hans and I don't!" From what Hans had told him, he didn't think Geoffrey did, either.
Hans: He waved off Franz. "Don't worry, I'm SURE Geoffrey worked all this out, right, freunde!??~~"

Geoffrey leaned in toward his friends as if he were about to trust them with his deepest, darkest secret- and to him, he was.
"Mon amis, do not be fooled by my... humble appearance." He actually believed he was humble! "For I have a secret. In Valentine-Ville I cannot keep such a secret, for everybody here knows that I, Geoffrey Chauncey Beaumont the third... am not poor." He looked away from them as if he was ashamed. "I am in fact... very... very wealthy. You see, mon amis.... I am the next Earl of Valentine-Ville. Yes. I am... how you say.... nobility." He bowed his head, face full of shame. "So you see... It will be easy to get a house- a house that will need no room on land. Nay, not a house. An... estate, you may call it... on a cloud."
He sat back in his seat, sipping his mimosa and looking around in hopes that no one ELSE heard him reveal something so shocking.

Raphael: "Geoffrey." he said, shaking his head. "Geoffrey... Geoffrey..." he repeated his friend's name at least two more times throughout his impassioned speech, growing in amused exasperation. When he was finally done, Raphael laid a hand on Geoffrey's. "Geoffrey." he said once more, "You would not believe how long I have known this. I knew who you were before I met you, and even if I hadn't, do you really think I would hear the name Beaumont and not know? I mean there are not exactly a lot of you guys running around." He shook his head, raising an eyebrow.
"Although... one of the cloud estates? Would your family really let you take one of those? I know you guys are pretty well off, but those are expensive, to say the lease."
