Now that everyone was trickling out, Annice thought it was a good time to begin cleaning up the snack table and packing up her things. She moved to her bag to put the t-shirt she'd arrived in on over her swimsuit and began packing up whatever refreshments were left. Mr. Kandi's enchantments usually wore off within a few hours of him casting them, so there wasn't a lot to pack up!
As she moved back to her things to set down what few refreshments she'd found, she noticed Sinsir out of the corner of her eye with the plates.
"Oh! Thank you!" she said, hurriedly standing up to gather them from him and set them down. She beamed as they moved back to fold the tablecloth and take down the table.
"I was thinking," she said after a moment, "since you're here already, would you like to stop by my cottage for a bit? It's alright if you're busy! I just thought I'd ask."

Sinsir: He carried the stack over, placing it all inside the large basket she had used to carry everything.
"I'd be happy to!" he said, helping her with the table. He did try to avoid Easter town in general, but he was already here, and nothing had tried to eat him yet. Besides, while he had met Annice's family before, if he was going to become part of them he really needed to get to know them better.

Annice: She was glad he seemed more comfortable now that she'd put her t-shirt on! "Wonderful!" she said cheerfully as she finished folding the table cloth. "I think Marianne likes you!"
She tipped over the table into the sand and began folding it up, glad that she'd borrowed one from the University. She had no idea where to get something as fancy as this! Valentine-Ville maybe?
Once the table was broken down and she slung it over her shoulder, she made a move to go and pick up her other things. "That was everything! Easy clean-up this time," she explained with a smile.

Sinsir: "I'm certainly glad I made a good impression!" he said, although he felt a little self conscious. He wasn't certain how well he had handled Annice's siblings last time he was there. He had liked Marianne as well, and he couldn't help noticing how adorable she was, considering how much she looked like Annice, but she was quite different in disposition.
He took as much of the load from Annice as she would allow, even though she was actually stronger than he was. "We should take notes on what we did this time, the clean ups from the dances always seem to take hours," he said, teasing.

Annice laughed! "Yes, well, in all honesty, I always looked forward to clean-up! I knew you'd be helping, like the gentleman you are," she admitted. Due to the fact that she had one free hand (she ensured its freedom), she was able to take Sinsir's before heading up the hill and toward her cottage. Drawing on her previous thought, she finished, "But that's probably pretty silly!"

Sinsir: He let out a pleased hum when she took his hand, shifting the items in his arms so he could hold hers better.
"I don't think it's silly. I think it's sweet. Which is no surprise from you," he said with a smile. He noticed a couple of fluffy dogs and fluffy sheep standing on the crest of a neighboring hill, looking at him with curiosity. He very lightly cleared his throat and looked away pointedly. Maybe if he ignored them, they'd go away.

Annice followed his line of vision and smiled a bit nervously. She couldn't help but be stressed when he was uncomfortable. She quickened her pace, well aware that he could keep up with however fast she was going. Her cottage wasn't too far!
"I was thinking about visiting my father at some point, if you're interested," she said after a moment or two. "Just to drop off some things, really! But the younger ones are already here," she said as they got closer to her house and its low, white fence with flowers growing in every crevice. She opened the gate (no one really needed to lock doors in Easter village, especially not a gate,) and began to hear her teenage siblings from in the house. She sighed light-heartedly, wondering what had happened this time.

Sinsir: "I'll follow where you lead," he said pleasantly as they approached the cottage. He followed her inside the white gate, breathing deep the smell of flowers. They were probably his second favorite scent in the world, beat out only by fresh baking. He could hear some kind of commotion from inside the house, and decided to let Annice deal with it, as it was no doubt her own family.

Annice opened the door and set down the things to return to the University next to a shelving unit by the door. "Hello everyone!" she called sweetly over the commotion of Marianne chasing Timothy around the house. They came to an immediate halt when they realized she'd spoken though, and Timothy only took three more steps to disappear around the corner. Marianne had her arms folded, but the indignance of the gesture didn't show on her face. Instead, she looked past Annice who stepped near her, to Sinsir and her face lit up immediately. "Annie! You didn't tell me Sinsir was coming!"
"I didn't know. Now, what happened?" Like clockwork, Marianne's face sunk as she lifted up a small, silver chain that hung from her neck, devoid of what Annice knew belonged there. The locket she'd given her. Annice turned to Michael, who'd found a place on the loveseat. "Michael," Annice said, packing a whole question into one name.
"It's probably in the sugar canister," he said after a moment, putting his book down beside him before standing up and heading to the kitchen.
"Thank you," Annice said, giving Marianne a hug before sighing and rounding the corner to find the culprit. "I'm sorry, Sinsir, I'll be right back."
Marianne, having remembered Sinsir was there made her way over to the couch, sitting on it backwards so she could see him. "Hi, Sinsir!" she sang. "I haven't seen you since Christmas!!" She propped her head up on her hands on the back of the couch and kicked her feet. "Been busy in Christmas town? I want to go, but Annie keeps saying we'll go some other time. I wanna know when some other time is! Not to be ungrateful," she corrected herself hurriedly.

Sinsir: He said nothing as he entered the house, letting Annice sort it out, and watching her fondly as she did so. He liked watching her deal with children, even when it was her siblings and she allowed herself to be exasperated. He set his armload where she had placed all the other supplies and sat carefully in one of the seats. His clothes were made not to stick or stain normal materials, but he still had to be careful. Being addressed by Marianne, he turned his attention over to her. The resemblance between Annice and her sister was striking.
"Hello! It has been a while, I suppose." he said with a small smile. He'd only met Annice's family a bare handful of times, but he had gotten to like them well enough - as long as they stayed away from his things. "Busy as things go. Since the holiday has been over I've been able to return to my work at the University, fortunately." he said. At her question, however, he wasn't sure what to say. "I'm sure she'll take you as soon as she is able! She's busy as well, her class is small, but some of her students are... lively."

Marriane turned around in the seat and listened to him intently, soaking up his every word. "Yeah, she's not home much anymore," she said after a minute. "But that's okay because I kind of have two homes! And Daddy says I might be able to go to the Academy! Then I'll be closer to you and Annie, right?" She continued kicking her feet and (overally) probably trying a little on purpose to look as cute as she was. Not a lot, though.
