Sally: She shook her head reassuringly. "Oh no, it was fine! I had just never tried it before!" She took another sip, letting herself get used to the taste.
When the server brought the tray, she looked on in confusion. Did they just... give a complimentary dish to couples? Or was it part of a pack or something? From Haar's expression it definitely seemed unlikely.
Then the lid was lifted and it was all she could do not to collapse into giggles. The frog was looking at her, and there didn't seem to be much she could do about it! It waggled its non-existent eyebrows just before it was whisked away. She held it in a moment longer, her eyes almost tearing up, when Haar broke down in front of her. It was then that she lost all control. She collapsed, laughing so hard her stomach hurt.
"I-thought-that-frog-was-going-to-ask-for-a-kiss!" she gasped. "I get the feeling it would have turned into more of a schmoozer than a prince, though."

Haar: "Most likely, I'd imagine! Hahahahaha!!" He placed a hand over his heart and sunk back into this chair for a moment before another waiter (A far more adept one, this time!) came and asked to take their orders.
Haar's eye flashed from him to Sally to back at him before he ordered, "Minced wool of bat over your freshest greens, hold the tounge of dog, if you will!! And we'd take the other fix ins and such, thankyouverymuch!"
The waiter nodded and disappeared after apologizing for the apparent foolishness of the staff. From a distance, violins and a tuba started to play!
Haar silently drummed the table, "I take it eating out must be far different where you are from, hm?"

Sally: She bit her lip, twisting her fingers slightly.
"Well, you're not wrong," she said, thinking of the elegant restaurants filled with scented candles and flowers, dim lights, and string quartets, of the sidewalk bistros with full views of sunsets and pleasure gardens and fountains, with delicate wrought tables next to french doors. "But honestly this is much more exciting! I don't get to laugh too often eating out there, unless I get lucky in my choice of date." She swirled her wine and took another sip, gently finding his foot with hers. "So, how many girls have you charmed under these... chandeliers?" she asked, smiling.

Haar: "How many girls?" He laughed, leaning forward on his forearm, "Absolutely none! How many spiders? Now THAT's a much different story!" He let out a huge laugh and started to refill their glasses himself. He lightly nudged her foot too, "In all honesty, I myself have not been committed to many relationships in my time! I take it you are quite popular with men though!!" He gave her another honest laugh. He wouldn't be hurt if she was, he figured it was the norm for a beautiful woman from her town to be fancied by several suitors! "Love, I'm afraid, isn't as common as one would think in this very fine town," He took a drink, "One is quite lucky to find it, if ever!"

Sally: "Oh, dear. I can just imagine it~" she said, taking a drink from her freshly refilled glass. She shrugged and dropped her head to one side. "Maybe when I was younger, for a time. But I was certainly nothing special, then I suppose I was just too busy!" She shrugged again, then smiled. "I do find it interesting you haven't had many relationships! You seem like a fine specimen of Halloween manhood," She just "hmm'd" quietly at his last comment, brushing his foot again gently. "Well I must be lucky as a leprechaun, then!"

"Nothing special?" He laughed, "Iiii beg to differ!" He did feel his cheeks warm up at her later comment- He was about to explain as to why he wasn't quite popular relationship-wise, but their food had arrived!!
The newer waiter arrived and placed the platter on the table- a fresh salad consisting of odd vegetables: things that looked similar to the normal version, but with the colors changed and the shapes slightly warped. Over it was tender chunks of meat- carefully cooked only as much as they had to be! Black flakes shaped like pumpkins were tossed in, as well as a thin red vinegar that gave it a kick! The waiter bowed and let them be, but Haar leaned in quick!
"This is the best part!" One the side of the plate was an odd spongy-like fruit- cut to look like a skeleton! He took it and held it over the food before waiting a second for ~drama!~ Then he squeezed it, filtering all it's juices over their meal! He flicked his hand so it was out of the way and it caught on fire- just a second!
"Opa!" He laughed as the flames burned down. It was totally his favorite part!

Sally: She just smiled and shook her head at his compliments. When the food arrived she studied his movements carefully. She jumped a little when the fire flared up, then calmed down, letting off a small laugh and applauding the display. She gathered some of the food onto her plate, and gingerly took a bite. It was strange, and more bitter than she was used to, but she still liked it! "So is it... is it really bat wool?" she had to ask. It seemed awfully meaty to be bat. And if it was, well... she'd never realized bat could be quite so delicious!
She took a moment in the pause to appreciate Haar again. His face was so defined, and at least for now, his grin so infectious! She smiled and looked down at her food for a moment, before looking back up at him.
