Haar: "Magnificent!" He ran his hands under his collar and smoothed it out! He was quite proud of the clothing he donned; a rich black shirt with a high collar (Made from finely spun spiderwebs---a gift from dear Aunt Sally!), complete with black trousers with faint red stripes, and dark grey oxford shoes he probably has had for more years than he could count! Nonetheless, he looked presentable, which was of utmost importance. He was missing something, however! There was a certain imbalance, and he was more than aware! He fiddled with several books and papers on his nearby desk (one of them being his beloved picture book,) until he produced a deep red ribbon! With grandeur, he slipped it around his neck and returned to his grand mirror, only to find....he didn't remember how it was to be tied. His brow furrowed and he messed with it for several moments. With a deep sigh, he turned to see the clock---he would be late if he continued to dabble!! He ran the ribbon lovingly through his hands (his nails were freshly polished!) and returned it to his desk.
Haar has a hand on his door knob in a second, ready to bounce out- until his coat, hanging on it's signature rack, caught his eye! Should he?? He nervously looked back at the door, and then to the coat again. It was a source of comfort, yes, but... did he really need it? Alas, he didn't have much longer to ponder, and left his academy room, coatless! The hands, of course, all had a very specific finger for him when he closed the door!
He was down the hall in seconds, careful to check every clock on the way! He wasn't too late, but he wouldn't be early! Finally, he was at Sally's door in a huff! He took a deep breath and regained his posture. He would be confident! He dusted his shirt off. How did all that dust get there?? He would be romantic! He brushed his hair into proper place. He would be himself!...Whoever that was! With that, he smiled at the door and gave a grand rapping, which almost seemed to resemble a familiar tune:
Boys- and- girls- of- ev-ery- age...!!

Sally: She stood in front of the mirror, making the last few tweaks to her appearance. Her dress was long, down past her knees, and a deep crimson overlaid with a layer of thin black lace in gothic flower designs. It was complimented by higher than normal black heels and a small black clutch purse with a bat latch, something she had bartered off a Halloween student just for this.
She had very carefully done her "makeup". Her lips were red with a black spidery gradient over them, mimicking her dress. Her eyes were a sparkly, dusty antique gold, her nails red as well, and she had paled her skin just a tad. She hoped she wasn't trying too hard. She still felt perfectly herself, but she wanted to fit in as well. As a last touch, she had changed her hair to a darker, rusty red, swept to the side in a low set ponytail.
Just as she nodded in satisfaction, she heard the knock at her door and rolled her eyes affectionately. The Halloween residents were such nerds, but they were adorable. She walked over to her door and tapped out the next line before opening it with a smile.
"Mr. Grimm! You look very handsome this evening." She wasn't sure what they would be doing, but he had been extremely excited to take her to Halloween town. And now that he was cutting such a dashing figure, she was even less sure what he might have in mind. Nevertheless, he felt her excitement growing and smiled wider.

Haar: He was taken aback for a moment! He nervously shrugged, "Sally, you're not supposed to knock from the inside...!" He let out a small laugh, he wasn't expecting that! Nonetheless though, he he straightened his posture quickly! Much more confident, "Oh, ah! Thank you, Ms. Heartnet!" He gave her the grandest of bows and looked up at her! "You look inspiring!!" He straightened up again, "I love your hair, especially!" How magnificent! Actually, in whole, she was a work of art in her entirety! But saying that...might come off too strong, even for HIM!
He leaned a shoulder on her her door post and dreamily thought over how much fun they would have tonight! "Are you ready?" He sounded as excited as a young child would be! "You don't need anything special, I assure you! Just you!" He laughed and held out his arm to her, very happy to lead!

Sally: "Am I not special?" she asked in response to "only bring yourself." Seeing the quickly dawning horror on his face, she darted to him and kissed his cheek. "I'm joking! Just teasing, dear. I'm very ready!" she said with a bright grin, standing on her tiptoes for a moment before bouncing back down. She took his arm happily and followed along. As they left the school she took a deep breath of fresh air, her shoes pressing against the cushion of thick green grass.
She glanced up at him only to catch him looking at her as well. She looked down, smiling to herself.
"So, where are you whisking me away to?" she asked playfully.

Haar: How could he have been so BLIND?? He WAS horrified! How could he even--- His face froze when she kissed him, but then shyly smiled and relaxed. One slip, that would be the end of it!...He hoped! He lead her out of the school and into the forest. The air was crisp and fresh, and with a slight breeze it was the epitome of October. Red, brown and green leaves rained over them lightly, never a bother but a wonderful effect! As they walked they made crunching noises. Haar wasn't fixated on nature, though! He had seen it before! Instead, he watched Sally- careful not to stare through here, but he really wanted her to have a good time. He looked away as she did, but perked back up at the mention of what he had planned! His free hand went to over his heart! "I want to give you a proper taste of my town~!" He laughed-not his usual boasting laugh, but a gentle, lighthearted one! "I know you've seen this and that from just being at the academy, but there's a whole different side of Halloween Town that's seldom ever seen!" If he could wink, he would have! "It's how I view Halloween Town!" And perhaps more importantly, how he lived it, too! As Haar finished, the duo found themselves face to face with the door itself! Haar put a finger to his lip, as if this was a secret! In a way, it was! It never sat with him right that others had specific entrances to their respective towns, and, even if this wasn't as practical as Cain's snowglobe, it could still stand to be something! Still with Sally-in-arm, he placed his free hand on the door itself! He smiled at Sally and motioned for her to do the same, and when she did, he muttered: " Anywhere but here, if you'd be a dear! ešte raz vďaka!" As he did so, he quickly added a "Opps! I should have mentioned to hold on!" And grabbed Sally tightly! Together, they seemed to fall through the ground itself via a black hole appearing under them! They were gone in an instant, and before the hole closed, a smiley cartoon face appeared and spat out a cute little "Boo!" Sally and Haar came out the other end with a slight bunny hop, and the hole under them closed!! Haar released his grip on her and took a step back, hoping that didn't startle her TOO MUCH! That wasn't the point! He looked around-splendid! He was kinda unsure if that was going to work!! They were now in an alley (Relatively, an unshady one, compared to the rest of the town!) that was connected directly to the main square!! He beemed at her and offered his arm again, “Shall we?” From their view, the fountain could be seen in it's entirety, complete with a skeleton band performing a familiar ballad!

Sally: She crunched her way through the wood with him, growing excited about their date - and a little apprehensive. Halloweentown residents ranged from delightfully eccentric to adorable to very creepy, and she figured the town would be the same. Hopefully they would focus on the delightfully eccentric section. When they arrived at the doors she followed his instructions, slightly confused. Did the door stick? Did it take two people to open it? She let out a squeak of surprise when he gripped her instead and the ground opened up beneath them? Her heart raced for more reasons than one, but she calmed quickly as the spell ran its course and deposited them in town. She smiled as she stepped away from him, straightening her dress. That had been quite the ride! She looked around, stepping cautiously out of the alley. She would have followed his lead, but a distressingly large and curious spider had been heading for her, and she would have liked to subtly get out of its way. She looked around the square in wonder. Many things were so familiar and yet so strange! A band by the square - but they were skeletons? Birds pecking at the stones. Also skeletons. Why was everything skeletons??? It was like the one humanoid thing she couldn't do! The fountain though, despite its eerie glow, was something she could connect with. "Ooh, a wishing well!" she said, hurrying over. She couldn't see any wishes, but the water was pretty murky. "Do you have any coins?" she asked eagerly. She supposed she could use Valentine currency! She wondered if a Halloween wells would take Valentine's coins? She could certainly try! She began digging in her clutch.

Haar: He smiled at her! She liked his trick...right? Okay, maybe no more tricks! Fair enough! He was a little surprised she didn't take this hand, but figured out why when a rather large and ugly spider resident bumped into his shoulder. The spider, quite aware of Haar's antics, quietly whispered " Loser!" and made it's way down the alley. Haar shot him back a rude look. He'd eat his kids for that one!! ...He had enough to spare, really.... He jogged forward to Sally, seeing that she was preoccupied with---the fountain? "Oh whoa whoa whoa there!" He lightly put his hands on her shoulders and led her away from the wretched thing! "You don't want any part of that- trust me!" He gave the fountain an apprehensive glance as faint cartoon ghosts circled it. "That well have NOTHING to do with wishes! If you really want to use up currency-" he laughed, currency meant nothing to him, anyway, "This would be a nice way!" He lead her to the skeleton band, who stopped playing immediately! The front man, a large skeleton in a suit and tie with broad shoulders, put his fish-like instrument down and gave them a chuckle, "Weeeeell well, if it's isn't Harvey! Look boys, the nephew came to visit! Isn't that nice?" Haar raised an eyebrow and crossed his arms, unimpressed. The cello player to the lead man's right looked Sally up and down! A head in his instrument did the same, and let out a whistle! Haar shot him a look and flicked a Halloween coin at him, beaming him right in the face! "Shut up and play my song!" He took Sally's hand and led her away, stopping for a moment only to call back, "And for the last time, it's Haar!" The nerve!! Such mockery! He apologized to Sally for such inconvenience and led her a little ways away! From their spot they could see the town hall in all it's glory-most likely the major was there, boasting about his platform for the upcoming election and this-and-that. Haar knew much better than to waste time there- in all his years in Halloween Town, no one else ever ran! The town hall was surrounded by many dark buildings, all of which took on generic Halloween shapes: One a cat, one a ghost, ect! For now, the town square was packed with peddlers at their booths, selling a variety of things, most of which were terrible Halloween impersonations of things from other holidays- Four head clovers, Death-threat valentines, the usual, really! He gave Sally a nervous smile. "How does a fine dinner sound?" Behind them, the band switched tunes, and this started to play behind them!

Sally: Taken aback by his extreme reaction, she backed away from the well hastily. Was it poisonous? You had to e so careful in halloweentown! She followed him over to the band, torn between amusement and annoyance at their antics. She felt strange hearing Haar's name. She knew it, but it was so rarely used it always took her a moment to know who people were talking about.
She didn't mind being looked over. She was used to it in Valentine Ville, especially from her moms side of town. She didn't even acknowledge the man, except by taking Haar's arm and flipping her skirt a little to the side. She instead kept focused on the man Haar was talking with.
As they walked away, she commented, "This song is nice! It's almost a dancing song." She nodded to herself, still keeping a hand on his arm.
"Dinner sounds wonderful," she smiled, wondering what kind of fare a Halloween restaurant would offer.

Haar: He laughed over to Sally, "All songs are dancing songs!! ...As long as you try hard enough!" She liked to dance??? He grinned and stored that for later!!
"Well well, we're in luck then!" Haar led her to a nearby building- tall and dark in stature and made to look like a large arrow, with the roof pointing towards the starry night over them! Walking in time with the song (that sound still be heard!) he glanced at the sky over them and held the door open for her, brimming to the rim with excitement, but still holding an air of gentlemancy.
"This-" he began, "-Is the quite possibly the fanciest of restaurants in the entire town!" Or really, probably the only one. Well, he couldn't even SAY that mostly because it was the least morbid of its competitors, be as it may!
As they entered, a deep velvet carpet under them pointed them to the direction of a gruesome "man" at the counter, whom was standing at a podium-like box mumbling over a list. They were comprised of several mismatched parts from what one could assume, many different species of this and that. Still, they were a fine specimen, or, where at least, in Haar's eyes!
He bounded to him, confident as ever! He raised a hand to his collar and slid a finger over it, for good measure. "Reservation under "Grimm!" The creature murmured something and removed a pair of earbuds from his ear, from which catchy pop tunes could be heard from. Haar lowered an eyebrow. The ONE time he really needed a break here! "GRIMM. RESERVATION FOR." The creature moaned something between "Ah!" and "Duh" and led them past the pointed fence and into the seating area. The place was almost a trick on the eyes; it's primary decor was red velvet, and thick curtains hung from nearly every wall here-and-there. Ornate black chandeliers were above every few tablets, and slowly oozed something or another, but in an artistic and slowly fashion! Still, Haar nudged Sally to watch over her head! The floors and walls were a mixture of different black and white patterns, usually striped, but slight variations of checkered here and there!
When they got to their table, Haar lightly patted the creature and strode in front of him, grandly pulling out a seat for Sally! When the creature took note, he simply gave out a "Muurrrr" and returned his headphones to their prior place, and took his leave.

Sally: She smiled and hummed, slowly picking up on the tune, and moved in time with him. As they entered the restaurant, she couldn't help but look around in awe. All the decorations were strangely reminiscent of her home, but in a dark, Gothic kind of way. The host - who definitely needed to be more attentive to his job! - led them to their seats. She neatly sidestepped a drop from a chandelier, warned in time by Haar. She wasn't sure what substance they were dripping, but she wasn't too keen on finding out.
She smiled as he pulled her seat out for her, laughing internally at his theatrics.
"Why thank you, Mr. Grimm!" she said, sitting down carefully. As he darted to his side, she picked up her menu and looked over the items, trying not to pull a face. Boiled... nettles? Rack of bone? Fly's legs? She wasn't sure what would be safe, but she was willing to give SOMETHING a sporting go, at least! "The frog's breath soup looks good?" she said, more as a question than a statement. She was more than willing to let him guide her through the menu.

Haar: He took his seat across from her and folded a black napkin into his lap! He...wasn't too sure if Sally was one for table manners, but he decided playing safe was by far the best option! He picked up his menu and opened it- not really looking, but more so to fit the social norm. He looked up when she started speaking. A question? "Ah!" THE FOOD. OF COURSE. He let out a small laugh. "It's not as terrible as one would think! Still..." The frog's breath soup was pretty terrible!! He rubbed his chin. Fried Owlet's wing, perhaps? Still, that sounded too casual.
He laid his menu flat and skimmed over it while a waiter- a different creature than the first, but still compromised of parts from this and that- and STILL with headphones- stopped in front of them. Now what?? The creature gestured, "MUrrrmurrmurrmehmetmurduurrmur?" Haar looked from him to Sally's confused face and laughed. "Let's start with something else, then? Wine?" He looked back at their "server." "Your finest red wine with a kick of blind worm's sting, if you please!"
The server left for a moment, and Haar tucked his arms into each other and leaned on the table. "I know we haven't been at it too long, but are you enjoying yourself?" He didn't sound toooo nervous, he hoped! "It does take quite a getting used to, HalloweenTown! But it grows on you quickly, really!" Both figuratively and literally!

Sally: "Hmmm," she said to herself as she skimmed over the rest of the menu. She was startled by the server, so engrossed was she. She just nodded along as Haar ordered, wondering what blind worm's sting was, but trusting his judgement. She flipped another page of her menu, read another list of incomprehensible items (including a dessert that seemed to primarily feature fingers and chocolate?) before setting the whole thing down. She folded her hands and tucked them under her chin, opting instead to smile and watch him.
"Oh, I am! It's all very interesting!" she meant that sincerely, nodding with his comments. However, she didn't think she was quite savvy enough yet to navigate all of this on her own. "Still, I'll admit I'm just a tiny bit overwhelmed. Why don't you choose something for me? I don't even know what most of these dishes are!" she said with a laugh.

Haar: He raised his shoulders and gave her a small, honest laugh, "Ah, of course! Tell me Sally, what do you like?" He was going to go out on a limb and assume she wasn't really into cannibalism---unlike someone he knew!!
Before she could answer, their "enigmatic" server came back- the first thing Haar noted was that pop music could no longer be heard from his earbuds, but rather some sort of thrashing metal. Lovely. Draped over one hand was a napkin, and the other held a glistening black tray complete with two glasses and a bottle of a bubbly pink drink!
He carefully (as careful as one could possibly be whilst head banging accordingly!) set a glass in front of either of them, and then poured them halfway with the concoction. Before he took his leave, he produced a black vile from his coat jacket and tapped a few drops in each glass- the drink changed color to black immediately, with speckles of pink, and the bubbling tapered down! He left the vile to the guests and made his way back to...whereever he really came from!
Haar smiled and took his glass in one hand, and offered to tap it with Sally's!

Sally: She 'hmm'd' to herself. "Well, I like pasta! And things in cream sauce. Hmm... I like spicy foods as well! I'm a fan of chicken? Really anything you think would be good, though, I'm not picky!" she assured him. She acknowledged their server with a nod as he came and set their drinks before them. She let out a small, "Oh!", as the drink turned black. Still, seeing how confidently Haar picked his up, she raised her glass as well. She tinked their glasses together with a smile and took a small sip.
"Ooh! That certainly does have a... kick to it!" she said, setting the glass down. She'd have to prepare herself for another drink.

Haar: He clinked glasses and took a sip! To be honest, he had never even heard of this drink until he met Rufus, and even then, never actually got around to trying it, but... Drinking with Sally was much easier than drinking with him and Cain!
He swirled his glass and smiled at Sally, "It wasn't too bad, I hope!!" He lovingly shrugged his shoulders and sighed. He hoped she would-
-His thoughts were interrupted by the server coming back with a large covered tray. He set his glass down and sat up straight, quite confused. "Ah, I'm afraid you would be mistaken, we have yet to-"
The server bobbed his head a few times to some sort of blend of metal and pop (this time!). Haar looked over at Sally and just shook his head and laughed. He had to be kidding...right? He smiled at her and then tapped their server a few quick times before he removed a earbud and managed a confused murmur.
"Wrong table, my friend! We have yet to order." The creature nervously looked around and mumbled a few more times. Go figure, Haar thought, he wasn't even sure WHO he was waiting on anymore. Excellent.
The creature had some sort of "Aha!" moment, and lifted the lid of the dish to reveal an assortment of odd vegetables and cheeses, complete with a frog placed in a rather seductive (or, as seductive as a frog could possibly be ((and let it be known this was one attractive frog))) pose on top.
Haar was actually taken back for a moment before lightly pushing the server away. "We did not order that," he gave another light shove, "Wrong table!"
From there, he was about to turn and apologize to Sally, only to be distracted by the waiter stumbling over to the next table and doing the same thing, to which a woman behind them let out a scream.
Haar, now quite embarrassed, turned to Sally blue-faced, only to start laughing quite uncontrollably!
