Yeah, what was up with that anyway? Halloween was supposed to be scary and yet everyone was happy. So weird.
He looked down and felt a growl rumble in the back of his throat when a black cat crossed his path. He continued anyway, but seriously, what kind of joke was that? He rounded the corner and hopped up some stairs to finally see something town-like. A fountain was in the middle of the square and shops curved around the corner, full of cauldrons and spell ingredients, candy and trick-or-treating pails, masks and even full costumes. "So," he said, turning his head slightly so he could see Mint. "Where to from here?"

Mint: She gasped when they made it to the fountain. It was such a change from the forest they had been earlier! Granted, it was probably that way with all of the towns. Even Christmas plopped people a freakin snow bank after they entered the door.
She now had to decide what to do next. It was a really hard choice! All the stores looked so interesting. "Clockwise?" Like we pick a shop on our lefts and go from dere!" That is how she normally did it when she couldn't decide where to explore in Christmas town. Just go clockwise from where she was.

Red: "Alright, sounds good to me." He looked around and headed toward a shop that was called 'Witchy Seamstresses' and had a myriad of costumes in the window. "This should be... interesting..."
A witch greeted them from behind the counter (that could barely be seen behind all the piles, rods and bunches of costumes hanging about). Before long, though, she looked up and said, "Oh! Out of towners, I see." She cackled. "Well, come on in, my pretties! Feel free to try anything you'd like on, one size fits all."
Red raised an eyebrow. One size fits all was a bold phrase to use when a 7'4" cu sith and a 4' elf just walked in your door. She must be serious. He glanced up at Mint. "Want down?" he asked.

Mint: She looked around. This was a good first choice, no doubt. But when had she even had a bad idea, Mint asked herself. She thought about it for a moment before deciding she actually had a lot of bad ideas. And she should never try the rockets and wheelies idea anytime soon.
She realized Red had asked her if she wanted to be put down. "Oh yes! Of course! I godda get into lotsa trouble here!" She giggled.

Red: He swooped her through the air, making a bit of a show of it, before setting her down on the ground and giving her hat a pat. "Of course!" He said. "May I suggest that wall over there?"
It was a wall of any costume you'd ever see a kid wear, from the spooky things like mummies and vampires to the silly things that Red found himself raising an eyebrow at, like fairy princesses and black cats. He gravitated toward a wall of knight armor, but was pretty sure Mint would find other things for him to wear aside from these cooler things.

Mint: She looked at Red and nodded before heading over to look at the costumes.
She searched for anything that could catch her eye. She made a small gasp before twirling around to point it out to Red. She aggressively pointed to the item. It was a bright yellow chicken costume. "Doggy, dis would be perfect for joo!"

Mint: She smiled. "Nah. I justs wanted to see what cha thoughts. You are perfect just da way you is." She turned around to point out one she had picked out for herself. A light blue dragon costume. "But I do like dis one. Dis one is awesome enough for me!"

Red: He grinned before turning to the witch at the front of the shop. "Can she try this on?" he asked. The witch cackled and opened up a changing room, gesturing toward it. "Of course, dearie! Try on whatever you'd like."
Red looked back at her. "Have at it, Pipsqueak."

Mint: She carefully removed the costume from the wall. "Dis is gonna be awesome!" She had to control the urge to run to the changing room. She was really excited, but didn't want even a speck of dirt on the costume.
It took her practically no time at all to change. She took off her hat just to make sure it would fit, but was surprised to find it fit like magic. Regardless, she didn't put her hat back on. She came out of the changing room doing her best dragon impression.

Mint: She recoiled. Oh no! Red believed she was actually a dragon! Her impression was too good! She shook her head. "No no, Doggy, it is me. I not actually a scary dragon!" She covered her eyes. "Honest! No worry!"

Red: He laughed. "I know who you are, I was just playing." He knelt down and ruffled her hair- this was likely the first time he'd ever seen her without her hat other than Easter, but she was pretty defensive about it at the time.

Mint: She laughed back before he ruffled her hair. Normally, she was fine with that, but in her current hatless state it made her a little nervous. She put her hands on her head and whined. "Does it look bads?"
