Red: He'd been trudging through snow for what felt like forever. It was a good thing he wasn't terribly affected by the cold like Bridget was, or he'd be in some deep box of chocolates. For real, last time he saw her come in contact with something this cold she cracked a little bit and he freaked out on her. She acted like it wasn't a big deal but HOW WAS CRACKING NOT A BIG DEAL???
If only Mint could see just how much he was standing out the entire way to her house. He could have seriously stepped on some of these elves. Though he was very extra sure that Mint was still super tiny, he was secretly glad she was probably the tallest elf in town or something close to it. He was even taller than all of the Kringles! Screw that, he was taller than a vast majority of these little houses! He was a freaking giant. Well, he already knew he was a giant, but... still.
Finally he came to a house that looked like what had been described to him (and matched the address he was given), so he knelt down before knocking. He didn't really want to scare any elves into a coma by being taller than their house at first sight. This might scare them into a coma too, but... It was all he could do for now.

Gingerbread: Mint's little brother was super excited today. He had gotten his parents to agree to let HIM open the door when someone knocked. This was after weeks of discussion after he had accidentally hit himself with the doorknob when trying to open it. He was making a wreath when he hear someone at the door. He looked to the kitchen, where his parents were having a talk with Peppermint regarding how toys looked in other towns. They yelled for Ginger to get the door. A smile creep around Ginger's face and he sprinted over to the door, leaving the wreath on the floor. He was careful opening the door. Proud of himself for not hurting himself, he went to greet the person out the door. He looked up. And then looked up some more. Holy dang, there was a giant outside. He squinted. Most giants were not so..green. And he was wearing red. The first thing out of Ginger's mouth was "OH! FAVORITE COLORS!" From the kitchen, Mint could be heard. "Who is it, Ginger?"

Red: He blinked a few times at the small elf who... actually looked vaguely like Mint. "Uh. Hi?" When he heard Mint, his ears noticeably perked up. "OI! Minikin! That you?" He thought about trying to make his way in, but he'd have to walk in on his knees just to get through the door. All he ever asked was not to break 7 feet and yet here he was at 7'4". Why was life so cruel?

Mint: She ran to the door, slipping a bit on her socks on the hardwood floor. Ginger scooted out of the way. "DOGGY!" She gave Red a hug. "Oooh, you must be sooooo cold. Come in! Come in!" She moved away from the door and eagerly motioned for him to come inside. Ginger decided he had done a very good job of opening the door, for his sister was so very happy with who was outside. He decided it was totally his door opening that caused that. He returned to work on his wreath, being extremely proud of himself.

Red: He ducked in the doorway and hoped he wasn't about to break anything. "Ya sure 'bout this, Pipsqueak?" he asked, half-muttering, dropping back to the old nickname for a minute. "I nearly scared some elves inta a coma and I think I may be bigger than yer house." It was, of course, an exaggeration, but he was starting to feel pretty self-conscious in a town full of such tiny people.

Mint: "...oh..well..elves don't tend to like..tall people.." She bit her lip for a moment. "But yes! It'll be alright! We don'ts got to stay in here long! How was da trip?! You need anyding? Maybe someding to eat?" She grinned. It was really hard to make Red feel at home here, but she was going to try. Ginger looked at Mint. "Gingerbread?" Mint looked over at him. "No, not right now. Ask Mommy." Ginger crossed his arms and grumped.

Red: "Uh," he looked around at all the elf-like qualities of the home- mostly that it appeared to be decorated as if Christmas was tomorrow. He couldn't imagine they'd have anything other than sugar or syrup or sugar covered in syrup. He wasn't against sweets, but that was a little much for him. "'M not really hungry," he lied. He sidled in through the doorway a bit more and found that he could stand if he hunched over. Barely. What were these ceilings, 6 feet?

Mint: "Oh, okay." She tried to think of something. Red had walked all the way to her house in the cold. Alone. It must have been horrible. She rubbed her chin before deciding it was best if she just gave him lots of attention. The warm feelings would make him feel much better! "Did ya come all dis way just to see me?! Or did ya wanna have a snowball fight? Or maybe ya wanna finally learn da true meaning of Christmas!" She was just happy he was there.. well not in her house, because he looked really uncomfortable, but she was happy to have him visit!

Red: "Yeah, I came ta visit cha. Thought we might hang out 'r somethin'. If that involves learnin' the true meaning of Christmas then so be it. Nollaig will be happy." He smiled down at her and knelt so he could give her a hug. "Whatever you wanna do, I'm game."

Mint: She hopped up and down. "Whatever I wanna do?!" She squished her cheeks as her mind raced. She spun around and tried to think of what they could. She stopped after she started to get a little dizzy. She steadied herself. "Okay dokey, what about..What about..uh..Sorry, wittle dizzy..what about AN ADVENTURE! To..uh.." She tapped her foot. "An Easter adventure! Or maybe..uh..HALLOWEEN!" She couldn't decide between the two. Granted, Easter WAS her favorite holiday after Christmas, she wasn't sure Red would enjoy it without Bridget. And like everything in Easter would probably remind him of her. On the other hand, Halloween was known for being scary and Red might think that she was far too young and innocent for such a scary town. But Mint really wanted to see how much different it was from Christmas! She just could not make up her mind!

Red: He laughed a bit. "Either way, Pipsqueak. Whatever you want. I have experience with... the nastier Halloween residents. And Easter is all bunnies and chocolate." Literally. "Need to flip a coin?" Did they even have coins in Christmas Town? Oh well, it didn't matter because he had a chocolate coin on him. He pulled it out to show her.

Mint: She nodded. Flipping a coin was the best option. "Wait! I can't flip it! I gotta cover my eyes and say dem. Dat way, I can't mess with the luck of the coin by accident." She didn't actually believe she could do that, but she didn't want to risk it one way or another. She covered her eyes with her hands and closed her eyes as tight as she could. "Okay dokey, so Easter is tails cause bunny tails. Halloweens is heads cause jack o lanterns are pumpkin heads." She crossed her feet. "Flip it!"

Red: He'd learned long ago just to enjoy her childishness and move on. "Alright, here we go," he said before flipping it high into the air. It only narrowly avoided the ceiling, but he considered that a success.
"Looks like Pumpkin Heads has it. Ready to see something strange?" He laughed a bit at himself.

Mint: She opened one eye. "So ya flipped it?" She opened both eyes and hopped a little. "Good good!" She wasn't quite sure how to respond to the question. Like what did he mean by strange? Was his definition anywhere near hers? She shrugged. "I don't see why not? So I get to go with joo and see the town of Halloween?!" She skipped over to the door. "After you, Doggy!"

Red: He knew the joke would go right over her head, so he wasn't even remotely upset that it did. He grinned and ducked through the doorway before taking a minute to stand up straight and getting several satisfying pops out of his back. "Much better," he said before looking around and remembering that this town was full of creatures small enough to step on.
He glanced over to Mint after she was outside and said, "So, are you going to be travelling in style or using your feet like a silly munchkin?" He, of course, was referring to her riding on his shoulders, but he knew she'd know that.
