Sinsir: "It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Fitzpatrick! Er, Morgan. I apologize." He smiled as Annice introduced herself, the licorice lines twirling slightly at the ends. "Hello, Miss WeiBe! It is good to see you! And, ah, yes. They're to make up for my tardiness." He drew off the double layer of wax paper to reveal a large stack of snickerdoodles. "Compliments of my father, of course." he added before setting them on the table. Just as he did, the rest of the ensemble walked in. He was startled by Miss Ackerman's comment. Unsure of how to reply, he instinctively put a hand to his chest and covered the motion by straightening his tie. He cleared his throat before turning to Mr Grimm.
"Ah yes, I remem-" he cut himself off at the sudden accusations. Why was everyone being so disconcerting today? "I am not a cannibal!" he exclaimed before calming himself, admittedly still being a bit flustered. "I, ah, that is..." He put a hand on his forehead in exasperation before turning to the only sane one of the group, apparently. "Mr. Cain! It's good to see you again! I apologize for not being here on time, my gift wrapping course ran a little late. We had a mishap with the tape."

Fred: She huffed up at Alice, "I did not see that guy, because I am still. in. your jacket. My question is why?! You had one job!" She glared at the larger woman, then tried to catch a glance of the sickly sweet smelling person that had just entered. His stench made her want to barf. Again.
Morgan: She looked at Haar, shocked. "Haar! You can't just accuse people of that!" she hissed at him. She sized up the cookie teacher, wondering if he actually did eat other cookies. The thought made her grimace.

Annice: "Well, they look absolutely delicious!" She peered at them and then looked at Haar, eyebrows slightly curving downward. What is he supposed to eat if not cookies??? He needs flour and sugar and all those other cookie things, right??? And it's not like he just eats cookies... She suddenly found herself not liking many of these teachers' attitudes, but she would keep it to herself, of course! She just wished there was something she could say to help take the attention off of Sinsir.
Cain: He too was frantically looking for ways to change the subject. Understandably, Sinsir was very uncomfortable in these types of situations. It was as if these people had never seen an edible person before! Well.. Okay, some of them hadn't, but they had Miss Golem back at the Academy, right? She was entirely candy, and she ate lots of things but mostly candy! This shouldn't have been such an ordeal!
He cleared his throat. "Anyway, how many of us are there now?" He counted, using his finger to keep track and said, "Six. An even number for now! Why don't we split into groups of two for our next activity? Try to pick someone that doesn't teach at the school you work at, if you would!" He considered getting Sinsir on his team, but something was tempting about getting Alice instead, and he knew that either way he should probably let them choose. He had to give the instructions, after all.

Haar: He lightly grabbed Sinsir's shoulder. "Forgive me, I just...I thought you should know that's what it's called." He nodded as if he had just done him a magnificent favor of sort and trotted over to Morgan. He puts his hands on his cheeks. "I was just telling the truth..." He planned on being on her team, but seeing that she worked with him, he sighed. He walked over to Annice instead. "You there!! University teacher! We must collaborate!!" He stuck out his chest proudly. "I am Haar Grimm, nice to meet you!!!" He laughed, and remembered eating at Rufus; "Your people make excellent filling in pies!" Why was meeting new people so, so hard.
Alice: She couldn't help but to smile at Fred. "Hehe, looks like no pension for me! Besides, this is for my REAL job. Dontcha wanna play...? Who should be on our team, here?" She scanned the scene. Oh Morgaaaaannn~~~!! She would have LOVED to work with her, but Morgan was so competitive, and Alice was looking for a challenge!!! Between Morgan and herself they just wouldn't have any fun defeating everyone else!!! She looked over to the cookieman, and felt quite bad for scaring him, but he DID work at her school, so she couldn't pick him anyway. She walked over to Cain, smile on her face. "Hello again, my candied friend! Would you mind being partners?" She supposed she'd have to be a tad careful not to lead him on again, er...if that was what happened there! Either way, she supposed, even if this DID end bad, they didn't work together anyway. Still, she couldn't help but to find him interesting!! "If you don't mind, of course!"

Sinsir: Still affronted at the accusations, he considered correcting the Halloween teacher - again - before deciding against it. He looked around, realizing that everyone had been partnered up. His only preferred partner, Cain, had already been snatched by the forward? woman who talked to herself. He was more than happy not to be paired with Mr Grim, and so that left Miss Morgan.
"I suppose it's you and me then," he said, going to stand near her, slipping one of his own snickerdoodles off the top of the stack. He hadn't wanted to be the first to take one, but he hadn't gotten the chance to eat that morning. "Hopefully whatever activity it is will not require heavy lifting. If it does I'm afraid you're on your own."

Fred: If she'd been human right now, her face would have been very red. She dug into Alice's shirt and started climbing up her back until she reached the base of her neck. She just popped her snout up at the top of the jacket collar. If Alice wanted to play hard ball, so be it. As loudly as she could, she said, "Though you seem a bit old for games! How old are you again? You won't break a hip, will you?"
Morgan: "It seems so!" She tried to swallow her emotions as Sinsir ate his own kind, but it just seemed so weird! Before she could say something Haar-like, she asked for a cookie and quickly stuffed it into her mouth. Her chewing was interrupted by one of her infamous howls, and she was horrified as she saw crumbs fly at Sinsir. "OH NO. I-I AM SO SORRY." She reached out to help brush him off, but decided that it might be better to stay back before one of her howls turned him into crumbs.

Annice: "Oh, um.. thank you? My name is Annice WeiBe, by the way. Spelled W-E-I-B-E, not like V-A-I-S-U-H like one might think." She thought about what he had said. Her people. Did he mean Easter residents? Or did he mean her occupation, like shepherdess? Filling in pies... There aren't shepherdesses in pies-- wait! He meant shepherd's pie!! "Oh! Yes, shepherd's pie is quite good, isn't it? But, there aren't... actual shepherds in it, you are aware of that, correct?" she laughed lightly, hoping to make it a bit of a joke just in case she was insulting his intelligence. She could just... never tell with Halloween residents. It wasn't at all that they weren't intelligent, it was that they seemed to view everything so differently from her. If she had to guess, she would say it was the opposite holiday to her own...! Other than perhaps Christmas. Speaking of Christmas!! She edged her way through the crowd for the plate of cookies before returning shortly after with two snickerdoodles. "Would you like one, Mr. Grimm?" Cain: "Not at all, Miss Alice!" he said cheerfully. "In fact, it would be an honor." He bowed his head slightly, hand on his chest. As he was about to say something else, though, he heard the rather strange un-Alice-like voice calling him old. It was a bit odd that Alice's lips hadn't been moving, but perhaps that was part of her race...? Which was... what, he wondered? He laughed loudly. "You should have seen me in my younger years! I looked fifty or sixty back then! But no, allow me to inform you that I am half Kringle and am as spry as anyone else in their early thirties. Perhaps even moreso! It's the silver streaks, isn't it? After effects from making myself look older, I'm afraid!" He pulled down the most prevalent silver piece in the front and said, "This one, though, is from the war." He couldn't shake the feeling that Alice seemed content right now from her demeanor, and from some of the emotions coming off of her, but there was another part of her that seemed so very angry. "Ah, Miss Alice, if I may, before we begin, have I said something that offended you? I can assure you I didn't mean to anger you in any way! I apologize if I said something out of line."

Haar: She smiled at her, "I don't think a lot, I assure you!!!" He let out a big laugh. "Ah yes yes, I'm aware!!!" It was a relief SHE was aware, too! He didn't want to be the one to explain THAT to her! He noted that Easter residents tended to be very like Candy Man's, but a lot girlish and younger looking. And more colorful. He shivered a bit. He backed up as soon as the cookie was in sight. "I-I DON'T USUALLY...partake in the eating of...our coworkers..." He started to get more quiet. He didn't MEAN to make a scene...this time!!! Thankfully, Morgan was having bad luck with the cookies too. At least they were in it together, he supposed!!!
Alice: She jolted a bit at Fred's moving. A certain RAT WITH WINGS needed to be taught a lesson!!! Still, Alice couldn't help but to blush a tad. This WOULD make things interesting!! She girlishly put a hand to her lips. "I'm ~so sorry Cain, I just couldn't stand to see you get yourself hurt!" She raised an eyebrow, fascinated. "Your younger years?? Ah! Kringle as in the Klaus family, I assume? That's brilliant!!" Alice wouldn't admit it, but there was something attractive about an older man! Even if he wasn't too much older... No No no, Focus!! Pay attention!! He's an empath, dammit!
She was set back a bit by his next comment. "The war? I'm so sorry to hear that. I intended to do my part and help, but sadly previous responsibilities flared up..." She bit her bottom lip and looked at Cain, "S-Speaking of which, if we plan to work together, I should really inform you of something!! I've been placed with a terrible burden..." She looked towards the ground. "I-it's a Native American curse where...spirits who aren't quite vessels tend to follow me around. They never stay for long, but please understand, their negative emotions and regrets tend to be close by, so if I give off any bad feelings, they aren't in the least mine!!" She placed a hand on her heart, "Why, you've done nothing of the sort!! I consider myself graced by your presence!!"
She smiled. Haha, Freddy! Looks like Alice was in the lead!! Poor Cain though, she didn't want to LIE, but she couldn't tell him the truth really, so THIS would have to do! Hopefully, she prayed, this would excuse Fred's blunders. There was always room for failure, yes, but there was ALWAYS room for a backup plan!!

Sinsir: He was about to ask what they were supposed to be doing when his partner erupted as though she were dying. He stood in shock as cookie crumbs were sprayed all over him, his eyes so wide you could see his entire kiss iris. When she was done, apologizing and looking terrified of what she'd done, he came to and began brushing the crumbs off of himself. Reasons like stains from cookie crumbs were why he wore candy suits in the first place.
"Ah, no, it's quite alright. Just... are you alright? Were you... injured, somehow?" He remembered Cain talking about various coworkers, but for the life of him he couldn't remember any reason that the St Patrick's teacher would explode like a volcano.

Fred: fork on the left her! Alice was good, she had to give her that. She hung there for a moment before a new plan took shape in her mind. She crawled over to Alice's shoulder, then her back, then her side, nipping and scratching as she went. It was gross yes, but Fred smiled as she withdrew safely into the jacket's pocket. Now dance, motherfucker.
Morgan: "No! Nothing like that. It's a disorder. RHD? I guess you wouldn't know about it, it's not very common. It only happens with banshees, werewolves, and sometimes ghosts." She fixed her glasses and patted down her hair. "I can't control it. It just pops out sometimes! Like I said, I'm so so sorry!"

Annice: Quite startled, she jerked the cookie back, eyes wide. "O-oh! I'm sorry! That's quite alright, I'm sure I can save it for later." She pulled out a handkerchief from a pocket and wrapped the cookie in it, pocketing it before he reacted any worse to anything. She took a rather large bite out of the cookie as an attempt to get it out of his sight. What did he eat, anyway? She shuddered to think of what.
Mid her second bite of the cookie, she froze, eyes somehow wider than they had been, staring at Haar, eyebrows tilting upwards in panic, staring at several insects and a few spiders that came from seemingly nowhere, all clicking discontentedly. When she realized she'd been staring, she jerked her head away, but that didn't stop her from hearing the bugs clicking at each other. She wasn't extremely familiar with the language of... Halloween insects, but she was very sure that she had heard the words 'eat,' 'escape,' and 'crunch.' She was positively terrified at the implications, whether bugs trying to eat Haar or Haar trying to eat bugs. "U-um!" she stuttered after (barely) swallowing her bite of cookie. "Y-you have... s-something on y-y-your face," she said, gesturing to the vague spot on her own face.
Cain: Ah! That made perfect sense! He now considered himself foolish for assuming it could have been anything else. He tried to dig past the anger and other emotions to find the more pleasant ones. He was sure she was comfortable enough around him now that he knew what to eliminate! Still, the emotions felt rather familiar. He couldn't dwell on that, though! While everyone experienced emotions differently, many were constants and had an identical base to begin with. Assuming that he'd felt the same emotions before was a little far-fetched, even for him.
"Oh, thank goodness!" He said, relieved. "I was awfully worried I'd said something to cause bitter feelings. If it makes any difference," he said, bowing before taking her hand and placing his on top of it in a comforting gesture, "I feel the same! I can just tell we'll be good friends in no time!" He got caught up in looking at her eyes for a moment- they were very gentle! Still, though, he couldn't shake the feeling that there was something more behind them than she had admitted.

Haar: He watched her in terror as she put the cookie away. What, so she could eat him later??? What was WITH these people? He sighed and looked away, and couldn't help to chuckle and Candy Man from the corner of his eye. Already bowing to a girl he didn't even buy dinner for, shameful!!! Although, he didn't really buy Sally dinner either, so...
He realized Annice had been staring at him for quite some time, and raised an eyebrow. "Is everything all right?" He couldn't help but to sigh. Why did people STILL point this out?? He supposed this was fair enough, because they HAVE just met. "Something missing, you mean?" He pointed to his eye. "Yes, I suppose it DOES look rather odd but if we plan to work together it really shouldn't be much of a problem. My other eye still works fine (He couldn't help but to raise a hand to check it-just to be sure), so it shouldn't put us at a disadvantage." He had to admit, repeating this for the hundredth time was quite annoying. It should be OBVIOUS THAT there is no eye there!!! YOU CAN SEE THROUGH IT, FOR JACK'S SAKE.
Realizing an itch on his face, his cheek jolted. "Oh...Ah! You mean these?? OH! That's a story in itself, then!!" He let out a laugh. "Oh, these are called bugs! Aren't they fascinating!?" He raised one to her. "Their skeletons are on the outside (Oh, how he knew how that felt!!!) but when you get past the hard exterior, they're quite squishy, I assure you!" He dangled the spider on it's web. "Aren't they fun? They can be...quite a nuisance at times, though!" He brought it to his lips, and promptly devoured it. "Takes care of that, if I may say!!!"
Alice: Feeling Fred move around, she immediately figured out what going on. If that's how you want to play, Dhampire, then by Squanto, we're gonna play!! The second Cain bowed Alice jolted. Feathers, feathers. She was just a second too late and could feel a bite from Fred, but vowed she wouldn't be so lucky. Her skin morphed to thick, small black feathers. She concentrated hard on keeping her face, neck and and hands untouched...Until she reached for her hand. Ahhh, why must he be a gentleman! Actually it was ridiculously sweet and made her want to giggle like a schoolgirl, BUT NOW was not the time for that!! She bit her lip and looked into his eyes. That's right, don't over think it! Her visible skin didn't change thankfully! She was so, so glad she dressed in layers. She took her hand back and put her hands behind her, "Should we be starting soon, then?" She felt her feather dissipate and closed her eyes for a second, in pure relief.

Sinsir: He suddenly felt embarrassed, worried that he might have made her feel uncomfortable by pointing out her disorder.
"Oh no, it's quite alright! There's no damage done. Would you like another cookie?" he offered, turning partly towards the table. He did wonder when this "activity" was going to start, but it seemed as though the partners were still getting to know each other. He was afraid to say he didn't think he made a great first impression. From the look on Annice's face, her partner hadn't, either.

Fred: After realizing that her plan to annoy Alice had failed yet again, she huffed and snuggled up in the pocket. Fuck this, she thought. She decided to take a nap and hope that her miserable situation would soon be over. She could always take her revenge later.
Morgan: She looked at the cookie and internally battled herself for whether it would be a good idea to take it. Finally she answered, "Why not." She took the offered cookie and quickly turned away to eat it, just in case. After rubbing away any extra crumbs, she looked back to Sinsir and said, "So, do you... like cards?" It was pretty lame, but she wanted to get away from the topic of her disorder.

Annice: She froze, backing up subconsciously from the sight, eyes wide with horror and nose wrinkling in disgust. WHO IS THIS PERSON?? She thought of something-- anything to say and could only think that if she opened her mouth she might hurl. She moved a hand to her forehead and swallowed hard.
"E-excuse me," she said (barely) before moving past him, avoiding touching him as much as possible before dodging Sinsir, Morgan, Cain and Alice and heading toward the door. She pushed it open harshly and took off in a sprint down the hallway, sliding around corners until she made it to the women's restroom. Now that she was here she supposed she was alright, but she should... probably sit down just in case... She did feel awful about leaving in such a rush, and she felt even worse that she probably made poor Mr. Grimm very uncomfortable. She would have to apologize profusely when she returned...! But for now, she slid down the wall and sat on the ground, breathing heavily and concentrating hard on keeping what she had in her stomach in its place.
Cain: "Yes, I believe we sho-- Oh, excuse me!" Annice had narrowly avoided a collision with him on her way through the door. Shocked by the sheer terror and disgust that had been coming off of her, he turned back toward her partner-- Oh. Haar. Of course. He sighed. He probably did something obnoxiously Halloweeny like the Halloweenie he was. As far as Cain could tell, 99% of what happened in HalloweenTown would put any Easter resident into shock. Perhaps he needed to switch some teams up. Maybe put some people from the same school together or something.
"I suppose not quite yet, then," he said. "Please forgive me, I need to collect data before I form a hypothesis..." He moved over to Haar and put a hand on his shoulder, sighing. "What happened, brother?"
