Robin: She made sure Cici got the rest of her money, and threw the coin purse in her coat pocket. "Oh wow, that's really pretty!!" She adjusted her own scarf and put her gloves back on. She smiled at the cashier as they checked out, "Have a good one, miss!" And skipped out of the store. "Mmmmm, if you still want to see more stores, we have time!! There's an odd toy shop over here, orrr... Oh! There's a bakery across the street! Do you wanna see how Christmas chocolate tastes? It's pretty good!"

Cici: "Okay!" she said, calling a thanks back to the cashier. As they reentered the blustery cold, she wrapped her new scarf around her neck and face. "Th-that sounds really f-fun!" she said, nodding along. She followed Robin towards the bakery, trying to keep her whole body from shivering. The bakery looked very inviting, lit warmly by gas lights in sconces on the walls, the all the wood polished and shining. The displays held numerous pastries, all of them wafting their enticing scents through the air and out the door, tempting customers in. All around the displays were woven fairy lights - or Christmas lights, as they were called here - twinkling in all sorts of colors.
They quickly entered the store, stomping the snow off their boots on the welcome rug. Cici couldn't help humming a little as the warmth wove its way into her cheeks. This was by far the warmest store they'd been in, and the smell of bread and goodies nearly overwhelmed her. She wandered over to the cases of treats, eyeing each one with delight, her mouth watering. "Wh-what's your, your favorite?" she asked Robin.

Robin: She gave her shoes a few good kicks, "Oh, mine? Hmmm! That's as hard as picking a favorite reindeer!" (It was Rudolph. It was always Rudolph. Who was she even kidding.) "But I dooo have to recommend these!" She pressed her hands against the glass and gave the baker a warm smile. "Hello Sir! Can I get two samples of this, pretty please?" He laughed and added "With a cherry on top!" And handed Robin two small cakes-called Jolly Brownies! "Thanks!" She showed them to Cici- Each had a thick brownie as the base, complete with a mint paste, whip cream, and now, a cherry on top!
"Theseeee might actually be my favorite! Once I ate six in one sitting!" Okay, it was really ten. But that was just sad. She handed Cici hers and dug into her own!

Cici: "S-six?" she asked, recalling the time she ate three entire platters of truffles off of her dad's counter. "Th-they must be good!" She carefully bit into one, letting out a small "ooh" at the sharp mint flavor. She swallowed the piece and took a few breaths in and out, feeling the cold chill the paste left behind. "These ARE really g-good!" She said earnestly, taking another bite. As she finished it she looked at some of the other goods sitting seductively behind the glass counters, trying to decide what else to try.

Robin: "Y-yeah!" As Cici started to look around, Robin slipped away for a moment and purchased ten of those cakes. Heeeelllo dinner!
"Hey! You should get some chocolate to take back to your dad! He might really like that!" She looked around and then rang the jingle bell stick that hung from the ceiling. The man came out from the back and offered the girls a smile. "What can I do ya for, ladies?"

Cici: She nodded. She didn't have a lot more spare money she could spend, but she figured a few treats would be alright.
"U-um, can I h-have one of those, those b-brownies, one of th-the ch-chocolate tarts, a-and... do you, you have any j-just... chocolate?" The man smiled at her kindly and went to one of the shelves, and collected the other items she'd asked for.
"This is called fudge, sweetie." he said, handing her the slab of chocolate squares.
"O-oh! Th-thank you," she said, smiling sweetly at him. She looked over at Robin. "Is there anything else y-you wa-anted?"

Robin: "I think I'm good!!" She shoved the last of her sweets into her mouth--she was never very patient when it came to them... and waved goodbye to the cashier!! He was an old family friend, but she felt bad he had given them such nice deals! It was the season for giving, though, she supposed!!
Outside, she slid on the ice for a minute before turning the Cici, excited!!! "I almost forgot to show you one of the best things about this town!!" She took Cici's hand and started to lead her down a much less crowded street, with seemingly nothing special around!

Cici: The moment she was outside of the shop she felt herself swooping down the ice. Her hands flew up and she almost lost her bag and her balance entirely, only saving herself at the last second by grabbing heavily onto Robin.
"Eeeee!" she squealed, completely undignified. Once she regained her balance she blushed, panting a little. Maybe one day she wouldn't kill herself just by walking through Christmas town. She had barely gathered herself before her hand was grabbed and she was whisked away. She gripped her bag tightly, looking around for whatever it was Robin was trying to show her.

Robin: She grabbed on to Cici and called out, "Oh no!! Be careful! This is the slipperiest time of year, and its always pretty slippery!" She grabbed Cici's hand before she took off, and turned down the street, far beyond any shops or signs of people!! They came to a small lake, where something vague and pointy poked up at them! A high pitched, cutesy voice came up from the water, "HIYA ROBIN, WHATCH-" "Sorry Mr. Narwal!! Can't talk now! I'm showing my friend something!!" "Okie, goodbye Robin!" "Bye Mr. Narwal!"
Mr. Narwal went back into the sea and Robin pulled Cici more, "He's really nice!"
They went a little further through the snow until Robin came up to a small, penguin-esque thing. It turned to greet them, "HEY ROBIN do you want to pick some snowberries??" "Not now, Arctic Puffin!! I'm busy! Later, okay?" "Okay, bye Robin!" "Bye Arctic Puffin!"
She lead Cici EVEN FURTHER until finally, Robin presented what she was so excited about with a "TA DA!" Before them was a crudely made snowman. Some of the snow was mixed with dirt, and he had a carrot for a nose.

Cici: Her breath flowed out as a trail of steam as they raced through the town, Robin's hand helping her keep balance. She raced along behind her, barely having time to take in any surroundings at all! As they passed a lake, something long and shining rose from beneath it. It was some kind of creature, with a horn! Like a fish unicorn? Cici almost tripped, staring at it as they ran past. Almost no time later, they stumbled upon and INCREDIBLY CUTE BIRD? that looked an awful lot like the 'penguins' Cici had heard about! Was that a penguin? Could they say hello?? The answer seemed to be no as she was dragged along still. She felt a little sad, but went along with it. Whatever Robin had to show her must be amazing!!! Finally, very, very far out of town, they stopped. Cici bent over, bracing herself on her knees, gasping for air. It was very difficult to get good lungfuls of air in this town, the icy air cutting at her lungs a little each time, forcing her to take shallow breaths. Her cheeks, lips, and nose felt completely numb and were red as cherries, not that she could see them. After she had nearly made her own cloud of fog, she straightened, looking to see what Robin was so proudly presenting. It was difficult to see what it was at first, so far from the lights of town, but it didn't take long to adjust to the starlight. It was a... snowman? If she was being completely honest, it wasn't even as nice as a lot of the snowmen she had seen throughout the town. Still, if Robin was so eager to show it to her, it must be special somehow! Maybe Robin had made it herself! And she did like it, somehow, and its little carrot. "It's cute!" She said, adjusting her scarf to go over her chin, almost up to her bottom lip. "Does it have a name?"

"Yes!!!" She beamed!! "I tried REALLY, REALLY hard to make a magic snowman- Grandma told me about them!! There's one more step but I haven't done it yet!! See, see, this should work (I hope)!!" She took off her beloved hat- showing a mess of hat hair on top of her head, which she promptly patted down. So embarrassing! Anyways!
She walked over to the crude creation and "Ta da!" She stuck the hat on it- The snowman lit up and--FLASH! Robin excitedly opened one of her eyes to see a pretty pissed looking snowman. "I'm gonna name you....Slushie!!" She exclaimed, throwing her arms in the air! He MOVED! He was...AAAALIVVVEEE! Well, not really. But he could move and talk!! She waited eagerly for him to dance, or sing, or-
"Whadda fuck you kids want?"
He spoke really harshly with a New York accent.
Robin blinked and her mouth fell. She was...never...good at Christmas...magic....
Slushie crossed his arms and his large brows (Robin thought adding them would be cute but she was SO WRONG) fell over his coal eyes.
"WELL I DON'T GOT ALL DAY."
"Uh...Mister Slushie sir, I was wondering if maybe you could sing us a-" "No." "Oh...okay..."
